The average life...

So I just thought I would catch you all up on current stuff now and come back to my mission stuff. I am going to the doctor tomorrow to find out when I am getting surgery. My mom went to the doctor today because she had surgery a little while ago, and now it is really infected so she has to go back to the doctor tomorrow. Tage went to the doctor today too, and his tube where they put it in is a little infected, so he has some medicine to help with that. Other than that there really isn't anything going on. I am making some baby quilts, and I am making a quilt that I started awhile back and I would take pictures, but my battery on my camera died and it is a special rechargeable battery and I can't find the charger. But I do have some new pictures of me and some of my siblings so I will post them instead.

I didn't finish this blog yesterday so I am finishing it today, I found out that I am having surgery on the 17th, and it is only on one of my knees. My left knee has a little tear but it is only small and not all the way through so the doctor says that it will fix itself. I am not going to be put out though, they are just going to do a spinal block so I can watch the surgery. Also today I went back to my old job and turned in the paper that Dr. Foote signed that says that I can work. I start work on Tuesday of next week. I am really excited, I have been trying to find things to do and you all know how I like to stay busy.

There are a lot of things going on this month though. There is the Christmas Devotional on Sunday and then my singles ward are going Christmas caroling afterwards, then on the 20th there is a formal dance that I am helping out with, I need a date and I have a guy that I would like to ask but we are kind of new friends, so I think I will try and get to know him a little better before I ask him. (yeah I know girls shouldn't ask but he isn't in my ward so he would never ask me, so I figure that it is okay.) Then there is Christmas dinner at the singles ward, oh and next Wednesday there is the Christmas Dinner at the home ward, we are going to take Tage and hopefully get a picture of him and Santa Claus.

Speaking of Tage he is doing well, he is in a few therapies like speech, and there is a lady coming to help him learn how to crawl since he is so behind the other kids his age. The rest of us are doing well. Wendi is working at Old Navy, and she is loving it, and she will start school in January. We decorated for Christmas (let me restate that, Shandi decorated for Christmas) the other day except for the Christmas tree which we will do very soon. I will post picutres of all of this hopefully soon if I can find my dang charger. Well I guess that is all for now, hope all is well with your families! Love to all.

Philly....

So I thought that I would post a picture of my compainion and I when I was out in Kutztown.
This is Sister Olson and I she is from Chicago and was a fantastic trainer.
This is my Grandma (Sister McKinnon) in the mission your trainer is your mom, and the trainer that she had is your grandma, so this was my trainers trainer. She is fantastic, and she is a spanish speaking missionary.

This is a picture of my district that I was in, in Philly from left to right, Me, Sister Olson, Elder McNaughton, Elder Gomez, Elder Esplin, and Elder Oakford. Elder Gomez is our District Leader, these are all very good missionaries and I miss them greatly!

P-Day at the MTC...

So the MTC is full of new experiences, the food was okay the teachers or fantastic, and the firesides and conferences are so spiritual. My disticts P-Day was on Monday we started out with breakfast and then we went to the temple, and then we came home had lunched then changed into our P-Day clothes and made our way down to the laundry room. Here are some pictures to depict some of our p-days at the MTC.

This is Elder Holgreen, when we would go into the laundry room, there were computers that we could use to e-mail our parents. Now the shirt Elder Holgreen is wearing the other elders and him went to the MTC store to buy Philadelphia shirts, well they found out that it takes 10 days for them to come in and we only had 4 days so they just bought radom shirts, and then people would assume that they were actually going there. It was actually hilarious, they all had different countries.

This is just Sister Adkins, and Sister Bonner writting letters to their families while waiting for their laundry.

This is Elder McNaughton I asked him to smile and give me a good face and he gave me his scowl he has. He is actually a very funny Elder! He is just writting to his family.

This was our last temple trip before our departure to the great city of Philadelpia. From the back row left to right is Elder Jeppsen, Elder Thompson, Elder Holgreen, Elder McNaughton, Elder DeCamp, and the front from left to right is Sister Sandal, Sister Adkins, Me, Sister Bonner, and Elder Gillman.

So this sign is funny! When we first got here there were a few people that thought that it meant "the field is white already to harvest" field was open because it said open. But actually this sign is to tell you that the missionary field up on the hill where they play soccer and stuff is open. When it rains and snows that is when they close the field.

My District at the MTC...

There were 10 people in my district at the MTC. We all were going to go to Philadelpia, there were 4 sisters and 6 Elders. About three doors down the hall there were 6 other elders that were going to Philadelphia with us. In the MTC we spent sometimes 10 hours a day in classrooms, and we were with our district almost 24/7.

This is a picture of my companion Sister Bonner and I. We had an interesting companionship, we really didn't get along all that well, it's a long story.

This is Sister Adkins on the left and Sister Sandall on the right. They were companions and the other two sisters going to Philly with Sister Bonner and I and we all lived in the same room. Sister Sandall had a really bad studdering problem she couldn't always say what she wanted to say, especially if she got nervous so it was really hard for Sister Adkins because she ended up teaching a lot of the lessons because of this.

This is just a picture of the name of the building that we practically lived in. I know a stupid picture but I wanted to remember.

This is a picture of my whole district, from left to right.
Sister Sandall from Elko Nevada, the back of the head is of Elder Jeppsen-Nebraska, Sister Adkins-Henryville Utah, Elder Thompson-Pocatello, Elder McNaughton-Calgary Alberta, Brother Bastian one of our teachers he lives in Provo, Elder Gilman-Linden Utah, Sister Bonner-LA California, Elder Decamp-Wyoming, Me, Elder Holgreen-Utah, Brother Geddes our other teacher-Provo Utah.

These were the 6 Elders down the hall that were going with us to Philly. The second from the Left Elder Ulrich and I were good friends I have a picture that I will share in one of my next blogs of him and I, we ran into each other in Philly on a P-day.

This is a picture of my teachers closer up Brother Geddes on the Left and Brother Bastian on the right, they were fantastic teachers! I learned so much from them, I can't even explain how important they are to me.

Catch Up...

So since I have been on my mission my mom was suppose to be posting but she didn't remember how to do it or something. So now that I have some pictures I'm going to play catch up and write a few blogs about the MTC and my mission illustrated with pictures. So this first one is where my parents dropped me off at the MTC (Missionary Training Center)

My parents and I went to Utah first on Tuesday so that we could stay at my Aunt Renee's so we didn't have to drive the whole thing in one day. We then drove the next day the rest of the way which was like and hour and twenty minutes. I entered the MTC on September 24th, and we had a nice picture session and then there was a like presentation given by the Mission President and then we said goodbye and I was off on my own.

When your parents leave, the families leave through seperate doors than the Missionaries. Then we are kind of hearded to these different places, you go and give your shot record to these ladies and they tell you what you still need to get and then they offer to give you them. Then you go to your room unload everything and then meet your roommates. I actually had two girls that had been there for 2 weeks and then there were 4 of us that were new and all 4 of us were going to Philadelphia. Six girls share a room for 3 weeks, there are 6 closets, and 3 sets of bunk beds and 3 desks. Here are the pictures, my family was curious what it looked like.
So these are the sister's that were already in my room, they had been there for two weeks already. The one on the Left is Sister Hatch and she was going to Louisianna, and the one on the Right is Sister Warwood, and she was going to Alaska. They were fantastic girls I loved being their roommates.

This is a picture of what our bunk beds looked like, thery were very sturdy, but squicked a whole lot, and obviously we hadn't made our bed yet it was still morning I promise we weren't breaking the rules.
This is what the desk looked like two girls shared a desk so it was a little cluttered as you can see but we knew where everything was so it was okay.

This is a picture to show you how big our room was, the girl sitting on the bed is Sister Sandall and the one standing was my companion Sister Bonner. There is also the final bed behind sister Bonner so as you can see our room was not so big especially when there were 6 girls trying to get ready in the morning. Well that is all for now I will do another catch up post later I have about 6 so I appologize for the length of them I did a lot in 7 weeks! ~Love to all~

Back at home...

Okay so most of you know that I am back at home. They sent me home from my mission because I need to have knee surgery. I was playing volleyball in the MTC and I had an Elder run into me and they told me that I tore my Meniscus on my right knee and they think that I also tore my ACL. They also think that I might have torn my meniscus on my left knee to so I will have between 1-3 surgeries and they say if I tore my ACL that they won't let me go back to my mission.

While I was on my mission I had a wonderful time, I was in the MTC for three weeks and out in the field in Philly for 4 weeks. My trainer was fantastic, her name was Sister Olson, she is orginally from Chicago. She had been out for 8 months. We had some fun times together. I have pictures that I will download later, and I have stories to go with them. If you have any questions just let me know I will try and keep everyone posted and updated as much as I can. I love you all!

Philadephia here I come....

So this is my last post before my mission. I am entering the MTC on Wednesday the 24th. However my mom is going to keep my postings going, so the posts for the next year and a half are not me they are my mom I am just telling her what to say. So I haven't been doing a whole lot other than working and getting ready. Infact I have not even packed anything yet, it is all set aside but nothing is packed. Maybe a mission will help me not to procrastinate, ha ha we will see. So other than that there is nothing really going on. But I did promise pictures so here are a whole bunch, and I will explain as I go.

So our family went to the open house of the Twin Falls temple, and I had a new camera and so I was taking pictures of Tage in the car because he kept quite that way.

This is my mom and I at the Twin Falls Temple.

This is just a picture of Tager Bug, he was playing naked on the floor.

So my mom and I went and took some pictures before I went on my mission and here are two of the pictures that we took. We might take more on Monday but I doubt if I will get them on here.

Nothing to Interesting...

So I haven't blogged in a while so I thought that I would do one today while I'm at work. Well there really isn't much going on different, I am still working my butt off at my two jobs, I have been getting stuff ready for my mission so there is stuff all over my room and my parents house because I haven't packed any of it yet which I should since there are only 21 days until I enter the MTC. It's so crazy to think that in 21 days I'm going to be a sister missionary, who would have EVER thought. All of my friends keep saying "what were they thinking when they sent you to the amish YOU of all people get sent to live with the amish." I think that it is going to be a fantastic experience even though I am not the "typical" sister missionary. Well I will write more later and maybe send some pictures.

Mission Update...

So I have been working a lot, like usual but I did go shopping for some of my mission stuff, and it took me forever to find long skirts in my size and color that I needed. Ya know long skirts aren't really the "in" style right now so they were a little difficult to find. Well I found the last ones I needed today, and I found shoes. Other than that I have just been working and I did go bowling with Bo tonight, and with one of our friends. It was the first time I had been out in awhile for fun with some friends. well I know this is short but I don't have any pictures or anything but I will write more when I have something more interesting to talk about.

YEA!!!! I got my mission call today, well technically yesterday cause it's 130 am right now. Anyway, I am going to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania mission, English speaking and I report to the MTC on the 24th of September. So I am so excited but I am a little stressed cause it is so close but all will be good and well. Hope all is well with everyone. I will keep up my blog while I'm on my mission my mom is going to copy and paste stuff from the e-mails I send to her and put them on my blog for you all to see. So you will know what is going on.

Look at her...

So my old boss that I worked for in New York had these pictures for me and I had to post them. I miss the little girl I nannied for so much, Maeve is such a cute girl. She is now sitting up and waving bye and hi, and she can say hi and bye. I can't believe it! well here ya go.

This picture was taken when they went to california and went to the beach and everything, doesn't she look so cute in her hat!

This one is a picture of her hissy face, when she smiles now she rinkle her nose and opens her mouth really big, it makes me laugh everytime.

Little miss 4th of July, this was her dress for the 4th, and I am surprised she has a headband on cause Melissa her mom always said that headbands were for babies that didn't have any hair. So this makes me giggle a little too.

Jobs!!!

So I don't think that I have posted yet about my jobs that I am working. I actually have three jobs, and they are all kind of part time. I am working for my grandpa at his store. I work in the back and unload freight and prices things and that kind of stuff in the back. Then I went to Lewiston so that I could work for another company that does health screens and I work for them once in a blue moon. Then finally I am working at the hospital again, I am working at the hospital that I was working at before I went to New York, and I am just working PRN (as needed) but today was my first day and I forgot how much I love being a phlebotomist! So my schedule for work is crazy this week I work everyday but Thursday at both my jobs my grandpa's and at the hospital, so there isn't a lot of time to sleep or see my boyfriend, but he is really understanding which I appreciate so much!!!! I am just working to pay off debt and get some things straightened away before the mission. Well there is nothing else really going on still waiting for my call it seems like it is taking forever. But I know for a fact that I won't be going to Russia because they just sent out a thing that says they won't be sending any more missionaries from North America over there because of problems with Visas, so there is one place I know I won't be going, infact the missionaries that are already there are going to finish their missions there and then the ones that were getting training in the MTC will be reassigned, kind of crazy huh. Well that is it for now but I will write again soon.

Raft Trip

So this weekend I went on our single adult white water rafting trip. It was a blast we (5 or my friends and I) went up to my grandpa's cabin and we stayed Friday night, woke up and went rafting all day Saturday. I got fried, even though I put on a ton so sun screen. So I am a little sore and sick today from it, but we came home early this morning so that we could go to church, I had to sing in church today with the chior.

So I guess I didn't give enough details on my last blog about my mission or my boyfriend, so here are some more details. I have been working on my papers for awhile but I didn't want to tell everyone cause I have started them twice before and I wanted to make sure this time that I was going to get all the medical stuff done and everything turned in before I told anyone. So I turned them in and I am expecting my call sometime this week hopefully! As for the boyfriend part, I started dating a guy named Brian about three weeks ago, we are just seeing where things are going to take us, he knows that I have turned my mission papers in and he is supportive of that which is a good thing. He is a really gentlemen, he opens doors and helps me cook and everything like that. He is from a big family he has ten siblings, he is right in the middle of all of them. He lives in Rexburg for school, but is home for the summer he is majoring in chemistry, and minoring in biology and he wants to be an eye doctor. Well I think that is all the details that I have for everyone right now, I will keep you posted like I said about my mission call when I get it.

Humanitarian...

So today I was suppose to work at my grandpa's store, but when I got there the load that was suppose to come in isn't coming until tomorrow so they sent me home. Well I got home and decided to do some cutting and sewing. I am making some quilts for the humanitarian projects. I went to the humanitarian center when we went on the trek and found out that they accept quilts of all sizes because they send some to orphanages and other countries to give the children something to make them happy, and let them have something of their own. So I am making a few of those. Then I am making some burp cloths out of the flannel material I have. So I will post pictures when they are finished.

Pictures!!!

As I have promised for like forever I have pictures of the trek. So there aren't many of me cause I sent my camera with one of the girls to take pictures of Bo, and no one on the trek took pictures of the cooks, I think that they were to hungry to remember to take pictures.
This picture is of Independence Rock, most of the kids climbed to the top, I was not one of them mind you. It was a pretty cool rock though there were names carved into it, some of them you couldn't read the names but the dates where still there.
This next picture is actually a picture of me cooking. (yes the sunglasses on my head were one of my most important pioneer accessories!) This was breakfast the first day we had to cook, we were camped in Rock Creek. I'm cooking bacon, that morning we had Bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, hot chocolate, and orange drink. I really really enjoyed cooking for everyone. The total count for everyone that went I think ended up to be around 351 people, including the adults.

This picture was taken at the second camp site, three of us cooks that were from the same home ward shared a tent, and we put it up (while the wind was blowing so bad it took forever to get it to stand up) but we did it and it stayed standing while half the other tents got blown over, broken, or one of our counselors in the stake presidency actually took flight and flew threw the air up and over a fence. But ours didn't move an inch, everyone kept asking who's tent it was.
This is a picture of Bo with his Trek family. Then treked 7 miles the first day and like 12 or 14 the second day.

This picture was on our last day of camping on our way to Salt Lake. This is the "This is the Place" trail. We walked down it and there was a man at the end pretending to be Brigham Young. It was a gorgeous trail with lots of flowers and everything.
This is also at "This is the Place" it is a picture of everyone from our ward that went. (Bo is underneath the "P" and I am the girl standing at the right in the navy blue shirt.)

While we were in Salt Lake we all split up and and did baptisms for the dead. We were assigned the Bountiful Temple so this is a picture of Bo in front of it.

This is a picture of Bo and I on the bus, we were traveling to Salt Lake. I just wanted one of him and I. I actually took this picutre and I don't think it turned out to bad.

Oh Pioneers...

So last week I went on the church trek, and it was amazing!! It was probably one of the most amazing spiritual experiences of my life. Let me tell you I never thought spiritual experiences would come that early in the morning, 4am comes mighty early. We left at 53oam on monday, I was a cook and I got the privilege to work with some spectacular people that made it so much fun and kept things really entertaining. We stopped the first night at rock creek, there I cooked and didn't do a whole lot else. There were some firesides and stuff for the kids but I was busy cooking and cleaning I couldn't make it. The next day was great fun, we drove to independence rock, where all the kids climbed to the top ( I didn't it was really steep and my hip was already not feeling great) then we were on our way to the last place we were going to camp at which we would stay there for two nights. We got to a place where they gave the kids their hand carts and they had lunch and they were then on their way on a 7 mile trek back to our camp. I rode back to camp and fixed dinner. the next day I got to walk a little with the kids, we walked to Martin's Cove which was an amazing experience! There is such a great spirit there, and to see all the kids walking single file not talking made it even more special. Then we had a sack lunch, and then we pulled a little longer until we got the the Sweet Water river crossing, where I helped a few of the girls cross. Then they took the guys away to make it feel like when the pioneer men went off to the mormon battalion, and the women had to pull the carts up this crazy hill. I had three people that helped me two beehives, and one other leader and let me tell you it was probably one of the hardest things I've done in a long time. It was well worth the experience though. Then we headed back to camp to make dinner. It was a great day! The last day we got up had breakfast and packed up to go to Salt Lake, on the way there we stopped and walked down the "This is the Place" trail and monument. We made it to Midvale which was where part of our group was staying in a hotel there and then the other part were in Layton. I got my own room since I was the last one to sign up and I was a single sister. The next day we went to the Humanitarian Center and it is a great place, and I learned a lot more about it. Then we all split up and did baptisms for the dead at 4 different Temples (Bountiful, Ogden, Salt Lake, and Jordan river) I got to go to the Bountiful Temple, it was gorgeous, we go there early so we had two hours to kill before our session, so we had lunch, and just took pictures and walked around. There were 4 brides that came out while we were waiting and they were beautiful to look at, with their families around and everything. Then they dropped me off so I could help with dinner, and the rest of the group went and walked around temple square, went to the conference center and a few other things. That night we left at 1130 pm and arrived home at 630am on Saturday. I will post pictures of the clothes I made and ones from the trek but the clothes are filthy so I will take them when they are clean and I will have to download the other ones on it later.

Blah,Blah,Blah...

So there really isn't anything new going on with me. I worked at my grandpa's store last week and I am working there the next two weeks also. I'm still sewing outfits for the trek I haven't worked on them very much because I have been busy so all I've gotten done are the three aprons. Yeah I know I have a LONG way to go. Well other than that I have just been filling out job aplications, I have gotten two job offers but they are just PRN (as needed) they are phlebotomy jobs though which is good cause I really want to get back into that. They are both traveling jobs, you have to travel to different cities and do clinics for them which you just draw blood, check the persons blood pressure and that's it. So it's not hard, they pay really well, and they pay you for your mileage, and they pay you for the hours you spend driving in the car. So, I told them I would take both jobs, and I am sending in all the paper work tomorrow which means that I am going to Idaho Falls next tuesday night because the one company has a clinic there early thursday morning and I am working that.

I went to my brother's baseball game tonight, they are in tournement, and he lost 23-13 and he got hit in the head with the ball so he has this big egg on his head.

I know I haven't posted any pictures lately, but I can't find my camera cord to download them it must be packed but I will find it and start posting pictures again.

Church Trek

So I'm am staying in Idaho a little longer. I am going on the church trek with my little brother, which means that I am adding more to my sewing projects. I am sewing three skirts, bonnets, and aprons. I sewed 2 aprons today and they turned out really cute, I will post pictures when I am done with all of them. Then when I get back I will post pictures of the trip, I am not actually walking the whole time because of my hip, I am driving and cooking for everyone which means I have to be up at like 4 to have breakfast ready by 6 for everyone. Well that's all for now.

California here I come...

So for all of you that don't know yet, I am moving to California (which I put in my last blog) and I am driving a Uhaul type of truck and dragging my car behind it. It should be quite the experience! Other than that I have just been busy packing and trying to get things ready. I really haven't unpacked all the way from New York because I don't have a room at my parents house right now cause it is under construction, which should be done soon. As soon as it is done I will take pictures and post them. I have been painting, sanding stairs, and stuff like that. Oh and our kitty had 4 kittens and they are so cute, they are all black and white but there is one that has a black and white body but a calico nose. Well that is all for now.

Boring Boring Boring....

So since I have moved back home my life is no where near as exciting as it was in New York. So the past few weeks, I have painted to bathrooms with my friend Kandee, she is the girl in the picture. I have driven to Idaho falls and back within a 24 hour period which is 5 hours one way. I have cleaned out my car, searched for jobs, and that is about it. I have decided to move to California with my two friends Bonnie and Jill (they already live there) for the summer to pay off some debt and have some fun. Most people travel all over after they get out of high school, but I guess I just waited a little bit. It will be an adventure I'll be driving there two weeks from tomorrow. Well hope all is well with everyone. Love Ya!

Back West...

So I have been officially back out west for one week as of today. I moved back in with my parents for the time being, and I am planning on going back to school this fall at the community college here, for an associates in business and then we will see where it goes from there. I have been looking for a job, got a couple offers but they were just summer jobs and were between and hour and an hour and a half away, and I need something closer, and something that is longer term so I can still work while I attend school. Othere than that there is nothing new really going on with me. I went to visit my grandma (my dad's mom) on tuesday because my dad and grandpa were going turkey hunting, so I stayed with her, it was only a one night thing but we sewed on Wednesday, and I made a Christmas table runner, but it isn't finished, I still have to put the binding on, but when it is I will take pictures, and post them. Nothing new in the guy area, there is this guy in my singles ward I would like to go on a date with but guys these days don't date, well at least the guys I know, they just hang out in groups, its a little frustrating. Well that is all the news for now, I won't be posting pictures like I have been I have to find my cord for my camera, since I can't use my bosses handy thing they had since I don't live there anymore so it may be awhile before I get new pictures posted.

West Point...

So Teresa and I took Chase, and Maeve to West Point on yesterday, they were so good they lady complimented us on how well behaved our babies were and how cute they were. We never correct people when they say "our" baby is cute. People tell us that all the time and it would so we told our bosses we don't correct them and they said that was fine they are strangers and we'll never see them again. Anyway, West Point is gorgeous, it was so green, and Teresa and I decided that for nannys who are deprived of men our age out here it was probably not the best place for us to go on a tour, especially since they were all outside working on their sports that day cause it was such a nice day. There were so really good looking men, but I'm not sure a military man is what I want. Anyway so we had a really good day, where West Point is, it looks like you have steped back in time a little bit they have an old ice cream shop and everything is reall quaint. So I took some pictures of us at west pointThen I also was taking pictures today of Maeve and a fluke happened and I got a fantastic picture of her. I have had several people tell me that "My baby" looks like me, and my nanny friends say she could even been mine, so judge for yourself with this picture.

Mama Mia

So yesterday Kierston and I went into the city because we had Mama Mia tickets. We rode the train into Grand Centeral, and then we started walking to get food because we were starving. We decided the best place to get food would be time square, plus the theatre was right by time square. Well we weren't sure if we were going the right was so we got a taxi to take us. But not just any taxi, it was a bike taxi in New york there are these guys that have a like a cart behind their bike, and they take you wherever you want to go. So we ate lunch and then went to the play, and it was FANTASTIC! I had never heard a lot of ABBA music before, but I really really liked it. I think it is my favorite one that I have been to. Then we went to canal street and went shopping in China town it was so much fun! I'm glad I got to go this before I left. I have 5 more days until I leave, and then I am back home in the West. YEA!!!

Empire State Building

So I know that I told you that this weekend I was goingto the Statue of Liberty and stuff like that. Well we were standing in line to get our tickets for the Statue of Liberty, and they announced over the loud speaker that Ellis Island would be closed until Sunday, and that you couldn't go up into the Statue of Liberty. (I didn't mind not going up in the statue of liberty, but I did want to go to Ellis Island) So if we would have went on Saturday it pretty much would have just been a ferry ride so we got out of line, and decided to go to the Empire Sate Building instead. We had a good time, it said it was suppose to rain but it was so bright and sunny, I had to carry my thick coat around all day, it sucked! (who would have thought a weather man could be wrong) Anyway it was really hot in the Empire State Building, and it took quite a while to get to the top when we got to the 80th floor there was only 6 more floors to go and they told us that we could either wait for an elevator, or walk so we walked the last 6 flights of stairs. When we got to the top it was gorgeous they would give you a map so that you knew what you were looking at because when you get up there, there are no plaques or anything like that telling you are looking at central park, or the statue of liberty or stuff like that. Here are some pictures of the view from the top, and one of Kierston and I.

This one is of the Statue of Liberty and it is fuzzier than the rest cause I had to zoom in a ton to get it so that you could see it and it wasn't just a spec on the lense.

So one of my more recent blogs talked about a birthday party that I went to, and that I made a quilt for her birthday. Well we didn't finish it in time for her birthday so I finished sewing on the back yesterday and I have picture so I thought I would show you. It wasn't a very hard quilt, it's just a block quilt and then I hand sewed on buttons, and ribbon and we ironed on some flowers to make it a little more interesting, I love the colors though they are so bright and cheerful we thought that since it was becoming spring it was a perfect fit!

We made the quilt 4 1/2 feet by 6 feet, just big enough to cuddle up with on the couch. The back of the quilt is fleece and it is like a spring green color almost mint green but not quite.

This is a closer look at the hand sewing I did, I think there was 20 or so blocks that had buttons and ribbion hand sewed on to them, I think it turned out reall cute!

So the strip block on the left was my favorite one, I made that flower with ribbon and a button, it was by accident actually, I was doing something with the ribbion and it went into the shape of a flower and I liked it. The other block is Kierstons favorite block, it is a tiny iron on flower. We had 8 iron flowers that we put through out the whol blanket.
