Promises,promises...

So everything here in New York is great. My boss will be going back to work on Wednesday of next week, so that will be my first official day alone being a nanny. It will be nice, I have a few things planned. Every Wednesday we go to my boss's parents house (melissa my boss, her dad has cancer) so he likes to see her, so that will be a every week type of thing until they move in June or July I think.
I made some new friends, the lady from one of the agencies that I was working with to be a nanny called me the other day, and asked how I was doing and gave me some names and phone numbers of some girls that are nannies in my area. So I called a girl named Tiffany, she has been a nanny for 9 years, and has been with a family in Katonah were I live for the past 6. She came and picked me up for church on Sunday. So now I have friends...YEAH! I am going ice skating with them tonight because it is Tiffany's birthday.
Okay so I promised that I would send more recent pictures of Tage, so here they are.

My little Girl I watch!

This is the little girl that I watch her name is Maeve. The first couple are just regular pictures, the one with the wings is from Valentines day she is laying on my chest she likes to sleep there even though her mom doesn't want her to, and the last one is of her christening day. Her dress was made out of her grandmother's wedding dress, it was long and beautiful. She is such a cutie I love her!

Rent

So I went to Rent last night, it was a good musical but it wasn't as good as Wicked. I didn't like the guy that played Roger, he was British and I didn't like the way he sung or acted but other than that it was good. I did it all by myself too, I road the train from Katonah, and I met a friend for dinner, and then I went to the musical, and then I road the subway back to Grand Central Station, and then hoped on the train back to Katonah. I had to ask this man at Grand Central where the Katonah train was and he told me they didn't run after 9 pm and I about died thinking I was stuck in the city until another man laughed and then they told me what track to go to. I had Kelly from my agency call me today, and give me the names and numbers of three girls in my town and the town right next to me that are nannies so that I could have play dates and friends. I'm going to call them tomorrow. Well that is all for now, Love Ya.

Just another Day

Hey this week was good, I didn't go anywhere really. I ran some errands, and watched my little girl Maeve, she has been really clingy lately, we can't decide if she is teething or getting sick she's never like this and it has just been the last 3 days so we will see. I have the house to myself this weekend my bosses are out of town but I have nothing planned I think I'm going to read and just lounge, do some laundry. I also have Monday off since it is a holiday, so I got a ticket to the muscial Rent and I'm going to that Monday night. I decided to go by myself, because I don't have any friends here yet really. It should be good though! I am going to a different ward for church this weekend, my boss's sister's nanny goes to this ward in West Point, and I'm going to go with here, it should be fun. well I think that is all for now I am going to post some pictures of Tage they are older ones but I never posted any and when I get more I'll post more. Love Ya!

First New York Adventure...

So I have been having a blast here in New York. I have been here a week and have realized something, I like it here, I love my family that I am working for and I love my little girl I watch, but I don't think that I would ever live here for a long period of time I think a year or a little longer will be the perfect amount.

So this last week a did some fun things, first I went to Long Island with my boss to visit her parents and it is beautiful over there. There are beaches all over and she says that when it gets warmer, we will come to the beaches and play.

Then I had a date on Saturday, it was a blind date. He came and picked me up in Katonah and then we drove back to his house in Queen (about 55 mins away) and we jumped on the subway and road 40 mins. to Manhattan. The subway experience was something I have never done. First of all we were the only white people on the subway, second of all you have to sit really close to everyone and they aren't the cleanest subways, and then there are these people that sell stuff on the subway. They sell candy, bootleg DVD's and everything else, it was really a different experience but it was really fun. After we got off the train we went to Wicked the musical, it was the most fantastic thing I have ever seen. Way better than a movie or book, I LOVED it! We were like 7 rows from the front and it was perfect seating. So here is where my small town upbringing shows, I went into the bathroom at the theature and there was this lady dressed in something that looked like a french maid outfit, and she was directing the traffic in the bathroom telling people where empty stalls were and what time things were starting at and what time the play would be over. And there was hairspray, nylons, lotion and several other things in the bathroom that you could use for free. There was also a tip jar for the lady, I gave her a tip she was really nice, but I have never had that experience before it was kind of funny.

So I went to church last sunday but this sunday I went to a catholic church because the little girl that I nanny for was getting christened so I went to her christening, and it was really interesting but there were only two babies so they said it was a lot faster than most of them go. They had their family come over afterwards, and I just stayed in my room giving them their family time and giving me my T.V. time, I got to watch a new dvd that I had just bought. Well I think that is it for right now, I plan on going to a bunch more broadway shows I love it and I will write about them when I do. I love you all!

The Big Apple

So I am in New York, and let me tell you that it is not what I expected. I live in a area where there are lots of trees, and there are signs that tell me to watch for deer when I drive, I thought that was hilarious. My family though is GREAT!!! I get along so well with Melissa the mom, we went shopping today, and we're going to see her parents on Long Island on Wednesday. Maeve the baby is such a good baby, she sleeps well during the day, and if I want to go places she travels very well (she usually falls asleep.) So far I really like it here! I will write more later this week. Love Ya!
