Lots of News!!

So first of all I don't know how many people actually read this blog, but I am moving back to Idaho. I'm happy and sad at the same time, my boss's and I decided that it wasn't working out for a bunch of different reasons, and they are now thinking about getting a live-out nanny instead of live-in. So I am moving back home at the end of april. Therefore I have a ton of stuff that I want to do before I leave like see the empire state building, go to the statue of liberty, and go to another musical. So I have 4 weekend to do it in! I am happy because I like the west a lot more than I like the east, and I am sad because I love the little girl I watch and I don't want to leave her! My mom asked me if nannying is the best thing for me because, I get so attatched, and I am going to have to think about that before I decided to nanny for another family.

On a brighter note I went to a party this past weekend one of my friends turned 21 so we had a birthday party for her. We just went to her house and had cake (german chocolate and there was little cake mostly frosting) and then we played games downstairs. I think this weekend I am going to another musical, and stuff in the city. Well I will talk to you soon!

This is Mary Anne she was the birthday girl, and the little boy next to her is the one she nannies for and his name is Robert. (he was helping her blow out her candles.)

This is the group of us, Jabaree was the only boy that came, and he is hilarious!

We asked Jabaree to take a picutre of just us girls and we got this, then he took one of just us.

Girls Weekend...

So this past weekend I and 4 other nannies that live near me decided to go to Boston for the weekend and have some fun. We left after work on Friday at about 730 and drove the 3 and a half hours to Boston. On Saturday, we went to the Bunker Hill Monument which we climbed to the top, 294 stairs (trust me you don't realize how many 294 stairs is until you do it and I'll tell you its alot.) This is a pictures so you can see how big it really is, this is taken from about a block away where our car was parked. So then we went to the Boston Harbor and looked at all the buildings and stuff around there, we went to a cemetery in the middle of town, which is where Benjamin Franklin's parents are buried, and Samuel Adams and a whole bunch of other people. This picture is of us at the Boston Harbor, the girl on the left is Destiny, then Maria, then Me, and the girl in front is Kierston. And Mary Anne is taking the picture. We go lost in Boston but that just made it more fun because we got to see things that we wouldn't have seen if we hadn't gotten lost. The next day we went to the Boston Temple which was gorgeous. This is the Boston Temple, ther are beautiful stain glass windows in the front. It took us a long time to find this because if you type it in to map quest or a GPS, it won't take you to it. So I called the temple, but I got an answering machine not thinking to push 0 for the operator, I hung up and Mary Anne called back and was a genius and got the operator, and the nice man gave me directions. It was well worth all the hassle.

Then we headed over to Salem and went to a witch museum there and walk around the town and harbor there. All in all it was a really good trip we plan on taking more weekend trips soon, the next is Washington D.C. This is Mary Anne and I at the Witch museum, it was a pretty cool thing to go through.

Soooo Sleepy...

So the yesterday, my bosses left, and I am suppose to make sure Maeve doesn't take her nap until 9 or it messes with her sleep schedule. So I put her in her jump-a-roo so that she could play while I made me breakfast, and then we were headed to long island to see the grandparents. So I make my breakfast which had to have taken a few minutes at the most, and I come back and she is hanging in the jump-a-roo asleep. She is taking this medicine for her ear infection so that must make her more tired than usual. Anyway she did it again this morning and both days it was at 8 am which is really early for her to take a nap cause she gets up between 6 and 7 in the morning so she hasn't been up that long so I took these pictures, and some of her new outfit I put on her.

Play Date!

So Maeve had her first play date today. When I went to that Tast of New York thing a couple weeks ago, I met this girl the lives in Chappaqua which is like 10 mins. away, and she is a nanny for a little boy who is 6 months old. My boss has been wanting me to find some kids Maeve's age but all the nannies have older kids. So I called Theresa and she brought he little boy over today and we had a play date. Her little boys name is Chase, and he is so cute. Maeve and him just layed on the floor and played with each other, it was so cute. Now we are going to have a play date every week, it will be good to have someone to do things with now.

Happy St. Patricks Day

So I went to the wax museum of Saturday which was really cool. Then we went to China town, I love china town it was so much fun. On Friday I went bowling with 4 other girls, for us all to bowl 2 games it was $95 dollars, isn't that ridiculous! It was almost 10 dollars a game I couldn't believe it. But we had a good time. I went to church on sunday and then we went to an opera because a guy in our ward was in it. We went to the Pirates of Pensance (sp?) I am not a huge opera fan but it was okay. Other than that there hasn't been a whole lot going on. Maeve is sick she has an ear infection, I took her to the doctor today, so she is not in the best mood but she's not bad. So here are some of the wax stars that we saw and a St. Patricks Day picture of Maeve.

Who would have thought...

Okay so this is going to sound totally stupid but, I went walking today with my little girl. There is this walking path that is kind of by our house so I decided that I was going to walk on it with her in her stroller. So I fed her, her 1130 bottle and let her play in her jump-a-roo while I went up and put some workout clothes on. Anyway I loaded her in the car because it takes a little drive to get to the place to park so you can walk on the path and I figured this would be great, she would fall asleep because she always does after her bottle and I could get some exercise which I am in total need for. So this walking path is a mile and a half one way so I walk down and back to make 3 miles and eventually I want to walk it twice so I'll have 6 miles a day. Well I and not a self motivator at all so to actually get my little girl ready and all of that just to go walking was not something I really was looking forward to. But I use to be so active in High school that I missed that, so I knew I had to do something. Well I walked the 3 miles today, came home had a glass of water and a sandwich for lunch and did some other streches and exercizes, and I haven't felt this good in a long time. I mean I feel really good and I could probably go walk it again today but I would probably be really sore tomorrow. So this feeling good is my incentive to do it everyday. Plus Maeve likes to go outside and watch all the cars pass by. She is so funny. Oh plus my boss's have a basketball hoop in their drive way and I think I'm going to play that a little bit every night I miss basketball. I also trying to find somewhere that I can learn how to play tennis I have always wanted to learn how to play and I have these 6 nannies that would like to play also so were trying to find somewhere to teach us so we can play doubles.

Anyway, I haven't done much else this week, my friend asked me to crochet her a scarf so I am in the middle of doing that, and I am trying to remember how to knit my old roommate taught me once and now I can't remember. Oh I took pictures of Maeve yesterday and some of her and I so here they are, I hope you enjoy!

So these are of Maeve on her girraffe, we call him Jeffery. Let me tell you it is hard enough trying to get her to look at the camera and smile when I am behind the camera making faces at her, but it is even harder trying to get her to even look at the camera when I am trying to take a picture of the both of us. Oh well next time we are with the girls I'll have them take pictures.

Taste of New York

So I went to this big singles thing this weekend, and it was okay. The first half was poorly planned but I still go to see some of New York that I haven't seen. And the last half was a dinner and a dance. The food made me sick but the company was great, and the dance was really good also. I met this really nice guy from Washington D.C. and he sat by me at dinner. We have plans to see New York together, one of these week days Maeve and I are going to meet him in the city. It is 4 hours to D.C. from the city so it will be a long day for him. Well I have some pictures, some are of the Hudson River, and others are of time square. I went to the Hershey's factory in time square and the M&M world there. It rained the whole day so everyone was soaked by the time dinner and the dance came around so none of us looked our best.
Oh so my sister Shandi heard that there are 9 rats for every person in New York. So she has had me on the look out for my nine rats, and guess what yesterday while I was waiting for the subway I found one of my nine rats. People say that if you look in the tracks of the subway you can see a ton of rats. Kind of creepy but oh well. Anyway I named him because she told me I had to so his name is Bob. All and all it was a lot of fun.

These two pictures are of the Hudson River, and the girl in the picture with me is another nanny here, and she is from Idaho too. She's from Preston, her name is Destiny, she lives in a town near me, and were friends. There were 7 of us girls that went to this thing together that are nannies. There are 3 from Utah, 2 from Idaho, and two sisters from Canada.
