Work had been going great lately for me, I work from 1pm to 1130pm 4 days a week. They recently switched me to 4, 10 hour days. I work 3 days have 2 off, work 2 have 2 off work 3 have two off. It's nice cause on the weekends I get off at 730pm cause I come in at 9am so I get to spend more time with my family then I was before. It stinks cause I work every other Sunday so I don't get to go to church every Sunday.
I am still trying to work on my weight loss. I had a blog that I follow from a friend's wife back home and she is doing the biggest loser with her town and posted the goals they are following. I decided I would try it too so I am going to post them here in case you all want to try too.
drink 6 cups of water a day
Excercise at least 15 mins a day
Eat 2 fruit
Eat 2 cups of Veggies
No Soda
No eating after 8pm (which is hard for me since I am still at work.
No fried food or food cooked in oil (try baking or grilling it instead)
Eat breakfast
Write one journal entry
make one personal goal for yourself.
So I guess that these goals change every month so I will start with these and then post when they change and I will weigh in once a week like they say and post how much I have lost, I am not quite comfortable posting what I weigh yet, but I will get there.
Other than that I haven't been doing much, I have sewed some lately. I made some pot holders which are freaking cute, and I made some stuff for my business. I will start painting the house and refinishing furniture soon to so I will have pictures of that too. I hope all you have doing well and Happy Fathers day to my wonderful husband!!

Been a long time...
I know I haven't been keeping up lately but we have been so freaking busy! So let me go through a little bit of what we have been doing and then I will tell you all about our most recent travels and how they went.
Casey and I have been busy, we got a letter in the mail that our insurance company was no longer going to insure our house because our shingles needed replaced. And then we found out that if we lost our insurance that they would recall our loan on our house. So I made a call and found out that it wasn't our house roof that needed replaced but that it was the garage roof since it wasn't 25 feet away from the house. So Casey and I went and bought all the stuff, Casey, our neighbor and his son, and the missionaries helped Casey take off all the shingles and then my cousins husband and Casey started the roof and Casey finished it. That took a lot of our time.
Another thing that Casey and I have been looking into was getting a bigger car. We had a Toyota matrix and Casey really wanted a big SUV and I was really sold on a van. I worked really really hard and I finally got Casey to agree. We looked and looked at all the vans and which ones we liked the best and we came to the Nissan Quest as our favorite. Well we went shopping for a dress for Addi and I for a wedding we were going to (which I will tell you about farther down in the post) and there happen to be a Chrystler town and country in the middle of the mall. It was a 2012 so newer than we had been looking at or wanting and the guy said that they had a bunch of used ones and we should go take a look. We hadn't looked at a town and country and we ended up really liking it. So we went and looked and a couple hours later we had a van. It's a blue green color and I love it!! It's great for my business it carries a lot and it has so much more room. We have travel short distances in it and it is so comfortable for me and there are DVD players in the head rest so Addi loves it. We plan on making a trip to California in January and are driving so we will see how she does. :) I think we're going to love owning a van.
This past weekend we went to one of Casey's cousins wedding in Kansas. It was a long flight it took us about 6 hours to get there and then it took about 12 hours to get back. We had a great time in Kansas with Casey's family and at the wedding it was nice to see them we haven't seen them in 6 months. But the trip back we got stuck in Minneapolis there were thunderstorms and lightening and rain so we didn't leave from there til 130am which made it 430am before we got home. It was a very long day needless to say. We did get on the train in Minneapolis and went to the Mall of America (it was a Sunday so they closed at 7pm and we got there at 830pm) but we got to see the inside even though the stores were closed we got to see the roller coaster and stuff. And then we looked over the railing and got to see the sting rays that are in the under sea adventure that is on the bottom floor of the mall. We eventually plan on going back there sometime so we can go when it is open and get to check everything out and maybe ride a few rides. Sorry this is a long post but I have some catching up to do. :)

Crazy life, but it's my life!
Needless to say we have been really busy lately. We have been working on the house which seems like may never get done. Casey and I were talking this weekend about just moving in and finishing it after we've moved in. I have our Master bedroom done except the trim, the one spare bedroom is done so we'll put Addi in there and just work room by room until it's done. We'll put everything in the garage and unload as we finish rooms.
We didn't do much of anything for Easter, we went to church but it was only one hour because we were sharing our building with a few other wards. Then we had an Easter egg hunt at our new house, and then I had to work that day so it was a pretty uneventful day. But we did get some great pictures of Addi Easter egg hunting, she loved it!
As for my weight loss journey....well.....I have been trying to be good but sometimes I have failed. Especially since we have been traveling so much. I am back on track, but in the 3 weeks I have been on this weight loss thing, I have lost a total of 6.6lbs which isn't a ton but it is a start and it is 6.6lbs less than when I started. I've realized that a REAL serving size/portion is small. A lot smaller than almost everyone eats. I've also realized that I really really like my fatty food, and sweets! But like I had said in my last post, Soda is my biggest enemy. But I am doing a lot better than I have ever done and I think I can be completely of soda really soon, it will be a treat once in awhile when we go out to dinner or something.
We bought a truck today, we needed something that could get us around from place to place that wasn't to expensive. For the past 5 months Casey has been taking me to work and picking me up from work and if Adelyn was asleep he'd just leave her at the house cause my Aunt and Uncle were there. Well when we move into our house he can't do that so we needed a second car. Casey has been wanting a truck and I gave in so I drove it to work for the first time today since we just bought it today. It is okay I still like my matrix.

Crazy busy life...
Yes my life recently has been crazy busy. I have been having this shoulder problem that is driving me crazy. It constantly hurts unless I hold it in these crazy positions and sometimes those don't even work. I am getting it checked out in a few days hopefully he can help me fix it.
Then there is the house, this house is going to be the death of me. There is so much painting to do even when I think I am done with a room I go back and it needs touch ups or I missed a spot. Oh and did I mention that I HATE to paint!!! Hate it!! But it will look so much nicer when it is all done, which is really the only thing that is pushing me to get it done. We ( a few girls from work and myself) are having a painting party on the 7th so we should get lot done then I hope. It will be nice to be in the house and decorate it the way I want and be able to call it home.
This last weekend Casey, my cousin Brandi and I went to Portland and so the broadway show Wicked. This is my 3rd time seeing it (I love it!) and it was Casey and Brandi's first. It was fun to watch them enjoy it and we stayed at my other cousins house (Jake) right in downtown Portland and Casey fell in love. It was a nice weekend we had a baby sitter so we were kid free for two whole days. It was nice to just do what we wanted and not have to worry about being back by a certain time or anything. While we were in Portland I went to a second hand kids store and found Adelyn some Nike Shox they are so freaking cute (I would never by my 1 year old Nike shoes if they were brand new, they grow out of them to quickly but second hand I can deal with) I have a picture of them. She looks so grown up with them on. I also found two long skirts for myself I have been trying to find longs skirts recently and couldn't find any. Well I went to Lane Bryant, they were have a clearance sale. If I would have not bought them on clearance I would have had to pay $140.00 for two skirts can you believe that 70.00 per skirt that is ridiculous. But however I paid 13.98 for both skirts. Yep that's right I paid 6.99 per skirt. I love them and can't wait to wear them.

These are Adelyn's Shox
As for my weight loss, I have weighed in and I am getting measured today and I will keep you all posted with how I am doing. I think my big obstacle will be giving up the soda I drink I need to replace it with water, or something more healthy. We will see. cross your fingers for me.
Other than that I can't think of anything new, we are going to see Grandma Mahurin next weekend and maybe take Addi fishing but that is about it.

Operation Baby Weight
Operation Baby weight... this is where I am going to begin to tell you all about my journey to a healthier and better weight. I have gone to my Dr. and he told me I need to loose 60 lbs before I try and get pregnant again, therefore I am starting to eat healthier and I am starting to track my weight lose and everything with you all. I know lots of people don't read my blog but I think it might help me to stick to loosing the weight and everything. So here we go on my journey of weight lose, and a journey to hopefully a second baby. :)
The house and a few other things....
So the house is officially we got the keys and now the work begins. :) We have bought all the baseboards and door trims for the house, and a ceiling fan for our bedroom, and the light for the living room. I have such a big to do list.....and luckily my family is coming this next weekend to help out with everything. We are excited to have them come and help.
Casey and Addi are gone this weekend, Casey went to drill and dropped Adelyn off at my parents house and she is spending the weekend with them. I have the whole weekend to myself and I didn't do a whole lot. :( I would have sewn or something but I can't get to any of my sewing stuff. I did make a pair of stretch pants for Adelyn, it was my first time making any clothes for her, and they were pretty easy and they turned out really good. :) I'll post a picture when she gets home and I try them on her, they are white with black polka dots. Other than that I took a nap and that was about it. next time they are both out of town, I will be in my sewing room and I will sew all weekend long. :)
I'll also take pictures of the house and post some pictures as we change it and when we get it done.

Yay us!!!
So we finally got the news that will will be closing on our house this week, which means we get the keys on the 27th and can move in. (well not exactly right away we are going to paint instead first since it is empty) So we picked out colors for the house and it is going to be bold for me it isn't just brown there is teal, apple green, pink, aqua and fushia. I know it sounds pretty amazing right?
Adelyn has been doing well, she got over her ear infection, she was put on some medicine, and was allergic to it. She got hives and everything so now we know she is allergic to Penicillin. :(
She has been trying to walk (not very hard) but she has taken about a total of 8 steps but she is in no hurry to walk. Which Casey is totally okay with her not being in a hurry.
Her favorite food right now are blueberries, she loves them and would eat them all day everyday if we would let her. She is a really good eater but she does have her favorites.
Right now we are just excited to get our house and start getting it ready to move into, I'll post pictures of before and after when we start to do stuff on the house. Hope all is well with you and I'll right soon.
