New & Exciting things....

Well it's been a little while since I have updated this thing, I still haven't done much crafting lately I can't get to any of my stuff in storage but I have good news.......drum roll........ We had the inspection on the house, it went well there are a few things that need to be fixed they are small, and the owner is going to fix most of them. We are waiting on the appraisal for us to get the VA loan it has to be a VA appraiser and there are only 3 in the county. Once that is done, and the
appraiser says our offer is good we should be close to closing...If you listen really closely you can hear the angles singing hallelujah. :) Here is a picture of the front of the house that we are buying.

It a cute little house in a mature neighborhood, it's got two big trees, a cover patio, and a deck in the back. There is also a detached garage it the back, and has brand new real hardwood floors.

Since we have a house now that is almost ours, I have told my husband that if we ever had a house that had a fenced in back yard he could get a dog. Well this house has a complete dog run on the whole left side of the house. I let this little detail out at work and Kelly a lady I work with said oh I have 8 puppies that need homes so yesterday I found myself going to look at puppies. We picked out a little boy one that is brown and white and is a mixture of black lab, and some brown lab, and maybe some chow or husky the lady wasn't sure. I will say that he is pretty cute and we have named him Mick. Kelly is keeping him for us til we get into our house. I'll post pictures then of him.

Since my last post I have also had a birthday, yep that's right I'm the big 26 now! I don't feel as old as my body is trying to tell me I am. My knees and hip have been giving me a lot of problems lately. We didn't do a lot for my birthday, we were going to go to town and have a nice dinner and stuff we had a babysitter and everything and Casey got so sick the poor guy couldn't even move with out throwing up (which I am sure you were all dying to know) he did get me the Anne of Green Gables series on dvd (which are my favorite movies of all time!) and the I got myself a new outfit that is a cream, brown and coral color I think it is super cute!

We have gotten a lot of snow in the past two days, like 6 inches or a little more. And we have ahd some freezing rain.

This next weekend we are trying to make it back home for Adelyn's birthday we have all of the party stuff at my mom and dad's house except the cake (which I bought, I was gonna make it but I don't think I'll have time) the theme is ladybugs which I think will turn out really cute. I will post pictures when we get back home. :)

I saw this saying on pinterest and then I saw it on a friends blog and I decided to add a photo to it and I think it turned out really good. It is the most crafty thing I have done in a few months and I am going through withdrawals! I have seen quite a few things on pinterest that I really want to do so I am going to try and do some of them once we get moved. And I'll post my progress and I get stuff done.

Other than that everything is the same, I work and we sleep and that is about it til we can start working on the house and I'll do before and after pictures of the rooms in the house. Hopefully all is well with your families. Love to all.

Adelyn's 1st Christmas

So this has been a CRAZY year for us... Casey was in Iraq most of it, Adelyn was born, I quit my job to stay home with her, I've had 2 surgeries, Casey came home, Addi had her first Thanksgiving, Halloween, and now her first Christmas. For Christmas this year we celebrated it first in Moses Lake on the 23rd with just Casey, Addi and I and then my In laws rented a cabin in the mountains of Colorado and we celebrated there with the Unruh and Metzger families. It has been a great time so far, Adelyn got quite a few gifts, we went snow tubing today most of the family are going skiing tomorrow. We've had fabulous food, Coree's (Casey's older sister) husband Scott if a tremendous cook and he has cooked everything while we have been here. Adelyn has liked the snow and everything about the cabin.

Also right before Christmas the 23rd actually Casey and I put an offer in on a house in Moses Lake and they accepted it, it is pending inspection and everything which the inspection is on Wednesday but we love it. It is an older house needs some updating but has lots of potential. We are excited to have a home of our own.

As for the up coming days and month, my birthday is one week from today I will be turning 26 crazy how the years start to fly by the older you get. Adelyn turns one on the 27th which is totally crazy for me, I can't believe she is almost one. We will be going to my parents for her birthday, and I think I am gonna make her an owl cake we'll see how it turns out. We are excited for the new year and can't wait for it. Well Casey and I had booked a family photo shoot before we knew we were moving and it just happen to be the day before we left. I had asked the photographer (Stacie C Photography check her out here....staciepictureit.blogspot.com) if we could make it a multi family shoot one of Casey and my family and one of my whole family we hadn't had a picture since Casey and I were married so it was definitely time. So here are the pictures we put the first one on our Christmas Card (don't be offended if you didn't get one we only sent out 6 and they were to family lol we were a little crunched for time this year)

Halloween was fun this year, but I am sure it will be a whole lot more fun next year when Adelyn actually gets into it. We went trick or treating to the church trunk or treat, people were really nice and were mindful of what Adelyn could eat, they gave her smarties, and taffy, and licorice. She really likes the smarties. This year Adelyn was a fairy, Casey was a construction worker and I was a jester. It was super cold so we didn't stay out long but it was still fun. My favorite costumes that I saw this year were a little girl dressed up like Marry Poppins, she had the exact coat and the hat and her trick or treat bag was the carpet bag Marry Poppins had. I think my mom took pictures so I might have to steal one to show you, my second was this little boy that

dressed up as a bull rider he had the whole outfit and he was about 5 maybe. It was so stinkin

cute!! Next year we think out family will be little Red Ridding Hood, the big bad wolf, and grandma. lol I think it will be cute!

We went out and took some pictures of our little Adelyn in a pumpkin. I had seen this somewhere else and I thought it was a cute idea so I asked if Casey could help me pull it off. I think that they turned out so cute!

Lately all we've been doing is packing and trying to get everything ready for the move. I think that once this move is over I will be able to relax a little. It will be nice. Hope all your Halloweens went well and that your Thanksgivings will go well too!

Tonight Casey and I decided that we were going to carve out pumpkins. A few days ago we went out to the pumpkin patch at purdums and picked out our very own pumpkins. I got a white one, Casey got a green one and Adelyn got an orange one. I was searching through all the free pumpkin carving templates on the internet and I decided to do Tinkerbell, Casey decided to do Frankenstein and I picked out a cute little puppy for Adelyn's pumpkin. Fall...

It seems like this year is just flying by! Casey and I have been so busy lately we have traveled at lot! I told you part of our traveling in the previous post but since then, we drove 13.5 hours to Colorado to see Coree, Casey's sister she was in a bad accident. Coree was driving on the freeway to go to school, and this little old man had pulled off to the side of the road and then pulled his truck and trailer out if front of her and she T-boned the truck. The people in the other car seem to be worse off than her, the little man was bleeding from the ears, the lady broke her pelvis, and shoulder and other things. Coree was lucky and just has cuts and bruises and some physical therapy. Scott and Coree had just bought a new Toyota highlander on Friday and she wrecked it on mon, but if she would have been in her old little car she would have died, so we are so lucky that she got a new car!

Adelyn is now 9 months old as of yesterday, she is doing so well. She crawls everywhere, loves to feed herself (she doesn't like baby food anymore so she just eats what we are eating) She is waving more, and the now reaches up when she wants you to pick her up. She has her 9 month appt next tues. she gets more shots, and we'll see where she falls in the %

of height and weight. She was sick so we went to the Dr. and she had actually lost 2 lbs since our last visit to the Dr. and it doesn't make sense cause she eats everything in sight. The other night we went to the pumpkin patch and had Adelyn pick out her own pumpkin. Casey picked out a green one, Adelyn has an orange one, and I got a white one. I think they will be cute on our porch.

She loves to feed herself and she actually eats more when she feeds herself.

When we were at Coree's she had her first egg roll and loved it!

As for Casey and I, Casey is working on framing the new firehouse in New Plymouth, it is just a temp job for like 2 weeks. When we went to Washington, I took a tour of the hospital there and like a week later they called me and told me they had a position opening up and I should apply. Casey and I talked about it and we decided that we would apply and see where it went. I had two interviews one that was just a regular interview, and the other was a working interview I drew some people at a health fair they were hosting. I think I did well on both interviews, we won't know if I got the job til next week, they did call me and asked me about some stuff on my resume which means they are contacting my references. If we do get the job we'll be moving to Moses Lake Washington and we'll live with my aunt and uncle for a couple months til

we can afford a house. We are still trying to decide if we want to buy or rent.

Casey went on his first hunting trip with us two weekends ago. There were 4 of us that had tags, and all 4 of us killed something, nothing big but meat is meat. Then this last weekend Wendi and Bo went up and killed some really nice bucks.

I just went through gallbladder surgery. On night I was woke up by this horrible pain in my stomach, we went to the ER and they did an ultra sound and told me that I had gall stones and that my gallbladder had to be removed. I went to my interview and then we came back home and they took it out on Tues. I am still in pain and it's Friday but they said it would hurt for a little while. When he went to take it out, he said my gallbladder was connected abnormally, I

always have the weird stuff. I don't know why but I do. I have 4 incisions one is right in my belly button but the are all pretty small. Hopefully I will be back to normal as soon as I can be.

This is me waiting to go back for my surgery, they had a really hard time getting an IV in, they stuck me 6 times.

Casey and I were going through stuff in our garage, we are trying to get rid of a lot of our stuff, and saw a tub was falling I went to catch it and it smashed my wedding ring to my finger. Casey had to pry it off with some pliers.

We also have family pictures coming up on Nov. 12th. My whole family is gonna come and take one big family picture together and then just Casey and I will take some family pictures. We have a tutu and feather head piece for Adelyn and were gonna stick her in a pumpkin I think it is all going to be so cute! I think that is it for right now, I will try and make this daily or weekly thing so I don't have to do these big long catch up posts but I did have pictures this time so that makes it nice.

Finally and Update!!!

So I know that I haven't updated this in awhile so this is going to be a long post. Adelyn is now 8 months old, she is up on all 4's trying to crawl she hasn't quite got it yet but she is so close! She Loves to eat!!! And I mean loves! She eats off of Casey's and my plates all the time, and she eats her baby food too. She Loves bread, and she likes these things called rice husks, they are like adult rice cakes but for babies and she eats these yogurt bites that dissolve in her mouth, she loves those too, that is what kept her quiet on our most recent airplane ride to California. She is cooing more and she growls at everyone. At her last appointment that was this past week she weighed in at 18lbs 8 oz. She is doing better sleeping she goes to bed around 9pm and then she wakes up at 130am and 6am and then doesn't wake up for good until 9am or after that.

Casey finally got to come home from Iraq, he got home 2 1/2 weeks early even cause he didn't have to go to his training. He has been home for three weeks and it has been fabulous! He got home on a Monday and then on Wednesday we went to go visit my Uncle Clint and Aunt Connie in Washington for a week and it was a lot of fun we just relaxed. I sewed a little bit and that was about it. Then while we were there Casey's family called and asked if we'd meet them in Salt Lake City the next weekend. So we went and met them (Todd, Janet, and Dale) in Salt Lake and went to the wedding reception and then just hung out.

Then Casey and I went to my craft fair, we did pretty good. We handed out a lot of business cards, and sold some stuff and got to talk with a lot of people. We have another one coming up in November and I hope it goes as well.

Casey and I got to spend out anniversary together this year, it is our second but the first we have spent together. My mom watched Adelyn and Casey and I went to the Anniversary Inn I had a gift certificate so we stayed there two nights and had a really fabulous weekend! I am so happy to have him back, it is nice to be able to wake up to your best friend again. We are super excited to be a little family again. We have taken lots of pictures so I have lots to post. :)

7 months!

So Adelyn has hit the 7 month mark! Yay! I mean she is growing up fast but she is getting cuter and cuter by the day. She now has two teeth, she is so close to crawling it is crazy. She laughs all the time now, she is ticklish on her chest and her thighs. She has started eating better she likes everything so far except peas and green beans. The texture she doesn't like and she gags. lol She is in size 6 month clothes which is good, and she can fit into some 9 month clothes.

Casey is now in Kuwait, he will stay a few days there and then he will be at Fort Lewis, in Tacoma Washington, then from there he will go to Mississippi for training and then he will come home. He should be home by the end of the month which will be nice to have him here and begin to start to be a real family. I mean we're a family but it is different when you are actually living in the same house and everything I feel like he has missed a lot I have tried to keep him in the loop but its hard. It will be great to have him home!

6 Months

Yes my baby is 6 months old can you believe that! She just gets a better personality with every month that passes. She is talking so much more!!! Her favorite thing right now is to scream at her toys and she gets mad when they don't talk back. She is eating better with the baby food, and we went to the fair today and she tried ice cream for the first time she LOVED it!!! It was chocolate chip mint which surprised me that she liked it. She rolls everywhere and can't wait til she can be more mobile. She had her 6 month shots and she did fabulous, our next appointment isn't til she is 9 months old and daddy will be here for that appointment! YAY!!!

We are getting so super excited for daddy to come home. He is in country for another 2 1/2 weeks and then will be in the states!!! Then it is only about a month and then he will be home, I can't believe it is almost here. That is all the news for now, But next time I will have pictures I promise!

Couponing....

So I went couponing yesterday (yes I know I just had double knee surgery but I used a wheel chair and I couldn't pass up this deal!) Be cause when Casey comes home, we won't have any income I have been trying to stock up on things that we will always use like toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, soap (dish and bath) just cause it will keep the cost down when our income is limited! :) So I stumbled across this deal for Herbal Essence and Aussie hair products. I bought 8 big bottles of shampoo, 8 big bottles of conditioner, and 16 bottles or hairspray and mouse. The original price for the 32 bottles of product was $156.31 the sale was 2/$5.00 which brought the price down to $80.00 for it all, and then I had two coupons I used which brought the grand total down to a whooping $16.00 I was so happy cause this will give me enough shampoo and conditioner and hairspray for awhile! Yay!

Knee Surgery

So today I had knee surgery on both of my knees....I had a cyst that needed removed from the left knee and a possible small tear from the right. When he got in there, the left knee had two cysts and the right knee the surgery I had two years ago he said had fail so he fixed the tears. It is a little painful right now, but hopefully I will feel better soon.

My husband and I have been talking lately and he says there are less than 40 days he has in country and less than 70 days til I get to see him. He should hopefully be home right before our second anniversary. Then I have booked us two nights at the Anniversary Inn when he gets home. :)

Adelyn is getting so big in less than a week she will be 6 months old, can you believe that? I can't even believe it has been 6 months since I had her, she is learning so much and is rolling everywhere! She has realized that she likes the juice she drinks, and she is eating carrots better. I will give more of an update when we go to her 6th month check up in a little over a week.

My business is doing well I have had a few custom orders recently, and I am going to do a October Fest fair on Oct 1st so we will see I have had a logo designed and I think it turned out super cute!

5 Months!!

So I can't believe it, my baby is 5 months old already! Boy have these months just flown. I have been traveling all over which has helped the time past quickly thank goodness. So our little girl has found her feet, she loves them! She has also realized that she can put them in her mouth which is kind of comical to watch. :) She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth now! She has also found that she can roll over from her belly to her back and from her back to her belly... she just hasn't put them together one right after another. lol

Adelyn has also started to laugh not all the time or anything, but she does and it is the most precious sound EVER!!! I love when she laughs, most times it's when pretend to bite her thighs or belly she giggles. :) She thinks that she is such a big girl, she wants to stand up all the time in fact if I lay her down she'll throw the pout out, and I'll stand her up and she stops just like you flipped a switch! She talks way more now, and will turn to you if you say her name.

Casey is doing well, we are both so ready for this deployment to be over with. I was going to meet him in Washington when he came back because he had to take a class but they have moved the class to Mississippi so I can't meet him so we will have to be apart for a little while longer. We are hoping that he will be able to attend Boise state in the spring and we hope to be moving over that way. We are excited to spend Adelyn's first holidays together as a little family. We will be going to my parents for Thanksgiving and going to San Antonio for Christmas to meet up with Casey's family. It will be nice to have a travel buddy again so Casey can help me with Addi. :) Hope you all are doing well! Love to all!

4 months

So Adelyn is 4 months old, she got her second round of shots today. She was not happy with momma. She weighs 13lbs 15oz which is in the 50th percentile, and she is in the 70th percentile for height. She can now have cereal, some baby food and they told me to give her half pear juice and half water (which she likes) We don't have another appt til she is 6 months old. She is such a joy to be with everyday, she laughs and smiles at me all the time. She can hold her head up when I put her in the bumbo, and she can hold my fingers and sit up. She likes to stand up on my lap and just move around. She still only rolls from her stomach to her back when she wants to not everytime. We just got back from a short trip to Utah and in less than two weeks we are going to Colorado and then driving with my sister in-law Coree to Kansas to see my in-laws. It should be a fun trip!

Adelyn 3 months

So our little Miss Adelyn is 3 months old, she still doesn't do a whole lot. She can smile which just melts my heart, and she kind of laughs but not really. She will coo at you and just sit and talk. She has rolled from her belly to her back a few times but when I try to get her to show daddy she just sits there and screams. She is not into showing off her little talents. But we did get pictures taken, and she did so fabulous a lady in my ward took them and did a fabulous job, her site is staciepictureit.blogspot.com check her out she is great and affordable. Easter Sunday

We had a good Easter this year, since it was Adelyn's first Easter and she is only 3 months old she wasn't into it, but I still got her a basket. I didn't find the perfect basket that I wanted for her but I found one that was cute for right now, and it was only $2.oo so I didn't mind. I put two books in, a my little pony, and a stuffed duck in it. Casey bought her, her Easter dress while he was here on leave and it looked so cute on her! I just love her in Blue.

Casey is doing well he was transfered, he says his job is more exciting, but that is about all he can tell me. There is internet there which we didn't think we were going to have so that is a blessing. I don't get to talk to him as much as I did before but any talking with him is an added bonus.

I officially have quit my job, so now I just work from home doing my sewing business which has actually been doing okay. I love being able to stay at home with Adelyn! It is a blessing that I get to stay with her and not have to take her to daycare. I have also started couponing, it has been a great new thing, I always love getting good deals, and this is totally up my ally. I am actually going to a couponing class here in a week or so. This was my first week couponing, and I think I did pretty well. My total was 297.65 and I paid 65.32 I will be trying to do this every Monday and try to stock pile so that we have food storage. :)

Mommy Syndrome......

I have had mommy syndrome lately, I have been meaning to update my blog, and I just haven't done it. I have played with Adelyn, sewn, slept, and done other things on the computer but I haven't updated the blog, I don't think anyone reads this besides my husband and my mom anyway and they already usually know about the stuff I put on here. So let me try and recap what has happened in the past few months.

So when I last wrote, I was starting my own business, that is going well I went to California for 23 days to visit my friend Bonnie and her mom Liz. While I was there, Liz and Bonnie helped watch Adelyn while I sewed. I made 11 car seat covers, 9 rag quilts and 5 flowers, and even designed a new burp rag to sell. I have sold a few car seat covers, and I am thrilled that this has let me stay at home with my little girl. I am trying to get a stock pile of everything that I make so I can hopefully put it in some craft shows here coming up in November and December.

Casey is doing well, he is getting transfered this week to a different location and it looks like this location won't have internet so we won't be able to talk or skype with each other online I guess until he gets transfered again or until he comes back to the states. He has been extended so that he can take a class so that he can get promoted when he gets back, which means that he will have to stay at Fort Lewis (Washington) to take this class. My cousin Holly and her husband David live 2 hours away from Fort Lewis and have been kind enough to let Adelyn and I stay at their house while Casey is at Fort Lewis, this way on weekends we can go pick him up, and spend the weekends together. I can't wait to see my husband, I miss him so much, and Adelyn is changing so much it makes me sad to think that he is missing all of this. I am going to Visit Casey's family for 10 days in June, it should be a fun trip like I said above Adelyn and I went to California, and Adelyn flew very well, so I hope she will fly well again in June.

Adelyn is growing so much while we were in California she out grew her newborn clothes and now wears size
one diapers. She is getting more of a personality, she smiles now when you smile at her she has laughed a couple of times, has rolled from her stomach to her back a couple of times and she is getting to be a little chunky. She has a Dr. appt on Tues and she got her shots, and she now weighs 11.5 lbs. She is doing good growth wise she is hitting all of her mile stones. She had the cutest dress for easter, Casey bought it for her when he was home for leave, I love it! She talked to her Daddy on skype the other day he was talking to her and she was cooing back at him it was so super cute!

I have just been sewing, and I had to get some crowns on my two front teeth I did that today, and my teeth hurt so bad and it made me have a headache. I have temporary ones right now, they have to send the cast off for the real premanant ones, and I will get those put on in three weeks. I also am having some problems with my left knee ( the one i didn't have surgery on) I am going to see the Dr. on Thurs. so we will see how that goes. After about 2 1/2 months I have finally gotten back in to my pre pregnancy pants which is fabulous, but I still have a bunch to go, I would like to lose another 40 lbs or so before Casey gets home. Other than that I can't think of anything else that is going on. Hope all is well with everyones families!

So with the help and love of my husband I am going to sell my crafts. Okay let me explain a little, I have been selling my burp rags at a local shop for a little while, but now I am going to get a business license, and sell my burp rags, rag quilts, appliquéd quilts, flowers, and crocheted purses. There is a big craft show in Boise that I am hoping to get a spot at, it is a show that lots of people want to be in so there may not be a space but I emailed the guy today and hopefully I will hear back from him soon. There are also some smaller shows I think i am going to try and go to those also. My husband is the main reason why I am doing this, I mean I love to sew and I like making projects, but I am not sure people will want to really buy them I have had some friends buy stuff from me but we will see if other people like my creations also. I will be buying business cards and stuff, it is scary cause I don't know how well I will be received but I am excited too. I am going to post some pictures of some of my crafts that I will be selling these are two of my rag quilts the first is one I made for Adelyn the other is one I made to sell.

Adelyn's Blessing

We were lucky enough to be able to bless our little girl while Casey was here. My Uncle and 3 of his boys came, my grandma and her husband, my grandpa and his girlfriend and my family were all able to come. We also had a good family friend (Gwen and Jim Liddell) that came, they kind of adopted Casey when he lived in Arizona and they are the family that actually introduced us to each other. It was a beautiful blessing that Casey gave to our little girl, it made me cry. It is a wonderful thing seeing your husband use the priesthood to give a name and a blessing to your daughter and then hold her up in front of the ward.

I am so great to have had my husband here for the past two weeks, it has been a special time for us. He has gotten to know his daughter, he hasn't put her down the whole time he has been here. I have just sat and stared at them, and marveled at how wonderful it is to have my own little family. Its the best thing in the world, better than I could ever have imagined it to be. He is my soul mate, and they are my whole world now. It has been special to have him here and I am grateful that he had 19 days to spend with Adelyn and I but I am so sad to see him leave. He leaves on Saturday we have to have him at the airport at 350am. Hopefully the next few months will go fast, he is hoping to come back from Iraq in Aug and should be home in Sept. We might even get to celebrate our second anniversary together. I pray that he will be kept safe and the other soldiers with him will be kept safe.

So having a kid and having my husband home has made it so I haven't done much of anything, but I realized that I haven't updated my blog in awhile. Like I said I haven't done a lot, I am still trying to get use to being a mom. It is a crazy challenge, but one that I am loving and wouldn't trade places with anyone. Our little girl is fabulous, she really is a good baby, she doesn't cry a lot and she has the best facial expressions! Casey has been home since Tues the 15th and will be here until March 5th. We are totally enjoying the time together! We just had his mom, dad and sister Coree here for three days, and then we just went and had family pictures done yesterday. We are also blessing Adelyn on Feb. 27th. I will post both family pictures and pictures of her blessing when I get them.
I do have a picture to share, we told Casey's niece Zoe that Adelyn could fit in a pocket, and she said no she can't so Casey went and put his military pants on and we shoved her into his big pocket and here is the picture from that. :) Enjoy

So I know probably not a lot of people care about how different my body looks but I am interested and I want to document it so that I can see in later years. So here are the before and after.. the first is 36 weeks and I delivered at 36 and 4 days. The second is a week after delivery.

So we are back in the hospital, our little girl went to the Dr. and her bili was 19.1 which on Saturday night it was 7.5 so that was a big jump so they admitted her to the pediatric unit at the hospital that I work at she has been under a bili light for photo therapy. They drew her blood after 6 hours of being under the light and it was 17.2 so it is going down slowly but surely. My milk still hasn't come in but I am pumping and getting colostrum, so I am feeding her that. She also breast fed for 25 mins tonight which is the longest she has ever done so she is doing good. Here are the pictures that I have taken.

She had to get an IV, she did really well with it though.

Adelyn Maeve Unruh

Miss Adelyn Maeve Unruh was born on January 27th, 2011 at 1045am
Her daddy got to skype and see the birth and watch her get weighed and everything.
She weighed 6lbs 7oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.
We stayed in the hospital for almost three days she was having trouble keeping her glucose up and her bili down. she had a little bit of jaundice, which they think was partially was from her having to be vacuumed out. We were in labor for 18 hours, and I pushed for 3 1/2 hours and had to have a little help. She is doing much better now we are still trying to get the hang of breast feeding but other than that everything is good. Casey gets to come home in 2 weeks and has a 15 day stay, we can't wait for him to get here!

Well I had a doctors appointment that was suppose to be this next Tuesday but I got a headache, so they had me come in early thinking my blood pressure was high. I went in on Thurs. and it was 161/100 they had me start on some tests, and I did an NST test (which is where they monitor Adelyn moving, her heart rate and contractions) I did a 24 hour urine test and when it came back I went back to my doctor the next day, and he said there was some protein in my urine, and I told him my headache had gotten worse. So he ended up admitting me to keep and eye on me and to see if the meds they are giving me will help my blood pressure. I saw the doctor this morning he said my blood pressure was better, and my headache is all but gone. So we are going to redo some of the urine tests I did and see if they have gotten better, worse or stayed the same. Then we will see what to do from there, the good thing is that he says that we shouldn't have to deliver her this weekend. So I will keep this posted, and we will have our little girl soon. I haven't been able to get a hold of Casey and tell him what is going on, he is working more lately since guys are starting to take leave. So I have emailed him and hopefully he will get to check it soon. His next day off is the 28th, maybe we can hold Adleyn off until that day and maybe he can skype with me or something so he can see Adelyn. I will try and talk to him and see what is possible.

34 1/2 Weeks

So there isn't a whole lot going on. I'm working it's only part time, which is so good for me. I am finishing projects up before the little one is born. We are painting her room, and finishing her furniture. It is getting so close I am getting excited, and nervous at the same time. I have been having these horrible dreams that Adelyn dies, she stops breathing or something. They wake me up at night, and that's the only thing that wakes me up, I don't wake up to go to the bathroom, or because I am uncomfortable, just because of the dreams. I hope they go away sometime soon, but I have a feeling they won't.

I had my baby shower on Saturday, it turn out really good. 14 people came, and we had a good time. I got lots of great stuff and I can't wait to put her in some of the outfits I got and to use some of the stuff that I was given. That is about all that is going on. I have got to talk to Casey quite a few times which always helps time past faster. He said he gets 2 days on and then a day off which passes time quicker for him which I am grateful for!

44 days....

So the count down for me has begun, I know that there are still quite a few days left but it is a double count down. The first for my husband to come home for 2 weeks, I can't even describe how much I have missed him! And the second is the count down for us to meet our little girl! We are both so excited we almost can't contain it. The past few days our little girl has decided to move more, if you look at my belly really close you can actually see it wave, it is the craziest feeling! I love it though, I have found myself looking at little kids and babies in stores wondering what our Adelyn will look like. I think she might be a toe head, Casey and I were both toe heads when we were little. So I kind of hope she will be a blonde. :) Casey got leave but we don't know what day exactly, he will leave Iraq on the 12th of Feb and could get here any day between the 14th and the 17th. So we will schedule an induction on the 18th and hope he will be here for the big event, we just hope she stays in there until he gets here. Casey's mom and sister Coree are going to come the 22nd and 23rd to see our new little girl, it will be good to see them. And I think they are excited to see her. My baby shower is on Saturday, and next Saturday I have maternity pictures I hope they turn out good.

Besides all the baby stuff, I am so proud to say that my wonderful husband got a promotion this week. He is now and E4. I'm so proud of everything he has done and everything he is trying to accomplish. We get to talk every once in awhile, recently we have been able to IM more. We don't skype very much and he never calls, but being able to IM and to email makes it better. I would die if I couldn't contact him at all. Everything is still hush hush about his mission all I know is that he works outside, and he works a couple days and then has a day off. He is 10 hours ahead of me, so we talk at weird times so we can catch each other.

Other than that I can't think of anything, I did move to part time work last week and that has been seeming to help with my hip and everything. Sorry for no pictures but I will have some from the baby shower next time I post. Love to all!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Merry Christmas to everyone, I got to talk to my husband today. Well I IM'd him yesterday and we got to skype last night at like 1130pm and then he got back on at 900am our time and watched us open a few gifts. He only had 30 mins but it was good to see him. He got a package from his parents today which he was excited about it was two new movie and a book. Which he watched I think both the movies today because he had the day off. He also got my package last Saturday, and a package from the VFW here in New Plymouth that had a bunch of cool stuff in it. He loves getting packages and letters. I write him a ton of emails but i should be better at sending him some snail mail stuff to just so he can get some things in person.

My Christmas was good, I got a rice cooker (which also steams veggies and will also do fondue). I got three movies, letters to juliet, when in rome, and santa clause 3. And I got a new hair straightener, it is pink, silver and white. And my final gift was a book I asked for on CD which I can use in my new car now. Yes you read that right I bought a new car, mine is on it's last leg the check engine light came on and it needs several new things, which would cost all to much to fix. So I spoke with Casey and we decided to buy a new car now (new to us not a NEW car) instead of waiting til he gets home. So I went looking and then took my dad with me and I bought a 2007 toyota matrix. It is bright red and only has 38,000 miles on it. I have driven it two days and love it already. I can't wait to bring our little girl home in it. Oh and for Casey to see it, I sent him a picture but I would like for him to drive it and give it the final okay.

I am getting more and more nervous about the baby coming, it is getting close there is only 7 weeks left til she is due to be here. I just hope that she stays in there til Casey comes. I have a bunch to do before she gets here, my mom and I are going to start on the nursery this week. We are painting it a light grey color, and I have a bunch of stuff to finish (i.e. curtains, a few blankets, a nursing cover, and a few other things.) I am excited though I think it will turn out really cute. :)

This is a baby blanket that I am making for a lady at work she is expecting a grandbaby. When it is finished, it will have a cute light yellow back, and yellow trim on the front. I think it will turn out cute!

This is a John Deere blanket it that I am making for Adelyn I have another one that is pink and the John Deere green color. I will post pictures later. :)

Oh I got the best gift from Casey a few days ago, the military has a program that lets service men and woman video tape them reading a book and then they send the book and the DVD home and I got one on Christmas Eve. It made me cry, it was so sweet. I love it, Casey says that he will get to do several more and this way Adelyn will know what her daddy looks and sounds like. It is a special thing that the military is doing for families something that brings him a little closer, even though he is so far away from home.

This is the book he sent, I don't know if you can read it but it says "to my darling baby, from your loving soldier daddy, Love you!" How cute is that!

Well I have a Dr.'s appointment on Tuesday, and then I have them every two weeks until she arrives. I love my dr. and trust him totally. He said when I am a month out, he will let me know if I can have the baby naturally or if I will have to have a C-section. We will see, I really don't care as long as she comes and is healthy and safe. I think that is about it right now, I will try and take some pictures as we make progress on the nursery. :) Love to all!

A little Pre Christmas update...

So I have just been busy working and trying to get the Christmas shopping done. Casey has been in Iraq for almost a month now, we get to talk every once in awhile we don't get to skype very much but we do get to talk more than I thought we would so that is a good thing.

I am now 32 weeks pregnant it has seemed to fly by. My pregnancy with a little hitch here and there, it has been a great. I have been lucky, I think it is God's way of making it a little easier with Casey being gone.

So this week is Christmas, and the next is my Birthday, the next is my baby shower and the next is my maternity pictures so I will have quite a bit to blog about in the next few weeks. And after the next 4 weeks I will only have 4 weeks until Adelyn gets here, and Casey will be here. I can't tell which one I am more excited about.

Snow snow snow...

So I got off work last night at 9pm and didn't get home until 1025pm yep an hour and a half drive home. The roads were horrible, and it snowed all night, I had to cancel my Dr. appt today cause there is no way I'll get up the hill here to get to the freeway. I had to have my dad park my car last night, and he barely got it off the road couldn't even get it up the drive way. We have atleast a foot, I went outside to take pictures of Tage, and I sunk to my knee. So here are the pictures from our snow day, and the last picture is of my diaper bag that I ordered from this military wife in Utah she put it in the mail yesterday but posted a picture so I stole it, they have a facebook page called hold your hero, they make purses, bags and diaper bags. He husband is also deployed and she had a baby right before he left. So it was nice to talk to someone that was going through the same thing. I love the bag and can't want for it to get here!

We really bundled Tage up he didn't have snow pants so we put sweats, and then slick pants over the top he had a turtle neck, and a hoodie sweat shirt, and a coat. He Loved the snow, it was so cute!

His gloves are a little big, he had ones that fit underneath and then stole a pair from uncle Bo.

Big Prego Belly....

So Casey is finally in Kuwait, he says that it is dirty there. He will be there til after Thanksgiving, I got him an external hard drive so that he can watch movies on his computer in Iraq, and when he got to Kuwait he plugged it in and it didn't work. So he is going to send it back to me and I'm gonna try and return it and get a different one. I have got to talk to him twice, the second time we got cut off and didn't get to say good bye. Hopefully we'll get to talk again soon. I do miss him so much, we could text atleast when he was in Mississippi, and now we can't and it makes a big difference. :(

I am now at my 28th week, I am getting big. I took my glucose tolerance test today and I didn't pass it so now I have to do a three hour one tomorrow. If I don't pass it tomorrow I have gestational diabetes, and I will have to take insulin and test my blood sugars all the time, I hope everything goes fine tomorrow. My New Orleans trip.....

So this past week I went to visit Casey in Mississippi and Louisiana, I took 4 days off of work and went to visit before Casey deploys on this next Monday. I flew out on Saturday, and went from Boise to Denver and then Denver to New Orleans. I then picked up a rental car in New Orleans and drove about 2 hours to Hattiesburg Mississippi to pick Casey up. We stayed one night in Hattiesburg got up the next day and drove to New Orleans. We walked around the French Quarters, and just kind of relaxed that day. While we were in New Orleans we went to the zoo, aquarium (where we got to pet sting rays), went out to a lot of great food places including The house of Blues. We went on a carriage rid which I loved it was at night, and we were the only ones in the carriage, and we had bought benigets at Cafe de Monde before we got on the carriage. We also just relaxed and enjoyed each others company. We will hopefully get to see each other again in Three months when Adelyn is born, Casey is trying to get leave so he can be home for the birth. While I was in New Orleans I had bought a book at the hallmark store that lets you record the book in your own voice, I had Casey record the story for Adelyn (it is so sweet I LOVE it!) I do have a few pictures but as you all know Casey and I don't take many pictures ever. :)

Little update...

Well I have just been working lately, my work offered me the processing shift that they created. That means that instead of drawing the blood I am doing all the processing of it, and I am working towards getting my CLA (clinical laboratory assistant) when I get that I will get a raise, and I will be able to run more machines and do more stuff. I love my new job, and it is a nice shift it is Mon.-Fri 9 to 6 which I have come to really like. :)

Casey has just been doing more training. I actually get to see him in 12 days. I am going to pick him up with another military wife and were gonna spend 5 days in New Orleans. I am excited to see him, and we both are excited to go to New Orleans we both have never been to New Orleans so it is exciting to see what is there.

He sent me some new pictures so I will post them.

Our little Miss Adelyn is moving like crazy now, we hope her daddy will be able to feel her kick when we go to New Orleans. I bought a bed set for her room, it is purple and pink with butterflies on it. I love it!!!

Other than that, there isn't a bunch going on. I have a doctor's appointment on the 29th and I will get more ultra sound pictures so I will post those later. :) Love to all!

It's a GIRL!!

Yes it is finally official we are having a little girl. Casey and I couldn't be happier, I went to my ultra sound, and she flashed the ultra sound tech at the very first it was kind of funny. Her name will be Adelyn Maeve Unruh. I got a CD of it and there were 7 photos and 5 videos so I got to send them to Casey which was great that he could get to see that. I got to feel her for the first time the other day, I had my computer on my lap and she didn't like it being there, so she decided to kick it and make it move.

Casey has been gone for 2 weeks, and he is doing well. He says he has already lost 7 pounds, which he is happy about. We got to skype last night so I got to see him, and talk to him. He gets a leave the 7th of Nov to the 11th of Nov, and I and another wife are flying to see our husbands for those days. We will be staying in New Orleans, none of us have been there before, we are sharing a rental car, and hopefully we will have a lot of fun in New Orleans. That is about all the news for our little family today.

One Year Ago Today....

Today is my one year anniversary, a year ago today I married a wonderful man, he is my best friend, he is my companion, he is the love of my life! We have had our ups and downs, we have had some wonderful times this past year. We have traveled a little, we have started a family, and we have had to say a really hard good bye until we get to see each other again hopefully when our little girl is born, everything we have gone through the struggles, the good times, has only made us stronger and has made us come closer together. I am excited to see what the next few years will bring!

Well we have had a long day, and a long week. Casey has gotten to be home for this past week a few days and a few nights. He leaves for Mississippi tomorrow at 1200, I get to drop him off and watch him fly away. Today I was glad he was here, I woke up and I had bleeding and some cramping, we called the on call Dr. and she told me to take a hot shower, and take some tylenol and lie flat and if it got worse to go to the ER. Well the pain got worse so we went to the ER. Casey went with me, and he got to hear the heart beat for the first time, and they did and ultra sound so he got to see how active our little one is and the ultra sound tech said that she was pretty sure were having a girl. :) Then they told me that I had a UTI, was really dehydrated, and that they were worried about my placenta being to low so I got meds, and fluids, and I am going to have a follow up check with my Dr. this week to see what he says. So I will have one this week and one next week, next week we will confirm what were having. Not much else to tell Casey and I have been spending as much time together as we can, and other than relaxing and enjoying one another we haven't done much. I will keep everyone posted on the baby and Casey.

No pictures this week, I have been working, and then working on a Christmas present which I will post after Christmas because it is for my mom and she looks on here. I have also been working on all my baby stuff that I sew there are so many people having babies that I have ran out of boy stuff because everyone is having a boy.

Well it has been a little over a week since Casey left, it is a lot harder than I thought that it was going to be to have him gone. I cry for no reason all of the time and I can't do anything about it, everyone asks me if I'm okay my answer is yes because there is nothing anyone can do to make it better. I think I am just trying to get use to him being gone. I went to my second Dr.'s appointment on Friday, the nurse said my blood pressure was really high, and asked if I knew why and I broke into tears so looked at me and ask what did I say, it wasn't that my blood pressure was high that was making me cry, it was that Casey wasn't there to be at the Dr.'s appointment with me. I know I am a crazy lady my husband tells me all the time and we laugh about that I cry for stupid stuff lately. My next appointment is Oct. 1st we get to find out what we are having, and that will be the half way mark of my pregnancy. At that appointment we will also decide what we'll do about my high blood pressure he said it might just be a one time thing last time it was 116/76 this time it was 162/90 so it was a big difference. Other than that there is nothing going on, the Dr. is guessing that I am having a girl because the heart rate is really fast so that is his guess, I think it is a girl too but Casey still is determined that it is a Boy. He will be in Mississippi training when I find out so I might be able to call him or skype

Today I dropped Casey off in Mountain Home to do his training he will be back the 11th of Sept. to the 14th of Sept. and then he is gone to Mississippi. I miss him already I know it sounds stupid but I do. I have a few pictures to share and that's about it not a lot of words today.

Little did I know that when I started this blog I would actually continue it for several years. I never thought anyone would ever read it and much to my surprise there are a few that read it and even some people leave me little comments.

Well Casey and I have been very busy lately so I am going to give you the run down of our summer, and what is still to come in our summer, sorry no pictures this time.

* We have both been working a ton, all different shifts but mostly graveyard shifts
* We have traveled to Colorado to see Casey's Family
* We have traveled to Riggins to see my Grandma
* We traveled to Arizona to see Casey's friends
* We found out that were Pregnant
* We have moved into a new place and have made it our own.
* We went to a friends house for the 4th of July and it was fabulous.
* We have been getting ready for Casey's deployment
* We have loved our first summer together as Husband and Wife!

Things yet to come this summer.......

* I have a baby shower I am going to tomorrow and two others in the next few weeks.
* We have our first Ultrasound on the 30th of July
* I am going to a Dinner thing with Casey's so they can inform the families of the deploying soldiers of stuff
* We are going to visit my Grandma again in Riggins
* Casey's brother and his friend are going to come and stay with us for a week
* My brother is coming to stay with us for that same week
* The week everyone is staying with us is the week of the Fair which I am really excited about because this pregnant lady wants a scone!! Whoot Whoot! :)
* We will hopefully get to find out what the baby is right before Casey leaves, I will be 17 weeks and a few days when he is on his 4 day leave between training and deployment.
* My wonderful, loving husband is Leaving me for a year. :( It's probably one of the most life changing events we've had besides being pregnant and it's the one that makes me the most said. I am glad that I have my family here and I have friends that are willing to help me out too. I am glad that he loves what he does, and that he is serving our country. We are excited to have him leave, because that means it's that much sooner that he comes back. We have been preparing and preparing and it is finally approaching, about 6 weeks til he leaves. I feel prepared, but still feel like I need more time. I love him with all my heart and pray for his safe return. Love to all.

Everything that is new.....

I'm sure most of you know this by now, but Casey and I are expecting on Feb. 18th. We are really excited and I'm a little nervous because Casey will be gone for 6 months of the pregnancy and the first 6 months of our little ones life. I will be posting ultra sound pictures and everything on here. We have our first ultra sound on the 30th of July. Oh and I have to put belly pictures up or my sister and some of my friends will never forgive me, so be watching for those. The next big news is Casey finally got his personal orders for his deployment he'll be leaving about the 3rd week in Aug for training and then he'll be back for 4 days and then leave for Iraq the middle of Sept. We're trying to cram everything into this last month we have together so it is really busy for us but we sure are enjoying ourselves.

We have all but finished the house, well atleast what we are planning on doing right now. We need to clean our bedroom cause that is where all the misc stuff went, and then paint our bathroom and were done for awhile. Here are the pictures I promised, there are a ton. My New Wall....

This is a project that I have been working on for a litlte while. It is a sneak peek of the before and after of one of my walls. I bought this old window with no glass for $4.00 at a thrift store, and my parents had some chicken wire that I stapled on the back. I bought some small clothes pins at joanns, painted them black, and ordered some wedding pictures in sepia. When you put it all together you get the before picture and a closer after picture.

I went and took some pictures to show you all, they are from my camera phone so they aren't the best, but I did take them and you can at least tell what they are.

This is Tage's rockstar hair. He is a little over excited about it, don't you think?

This is the purse I made. I crocheted it and then felted it, it is a little fuzzy but, it is a brown with flexs of white in it. I really like it!

This is my new hair, I straightened it from my perm I got tired of the perm so it will be straight for awhile.

And this is my handsome husband while he has been at his training this past week, he will be home on Wednesday and I can't wait to see him.

Well that is all the pictures I have for now, I am still putting the finishing touches on the house and then I will post the house pictures. And then when I finish the inside of the house, I will work on the outside of the house.

No pictures for this blog post, I am at work and don't have any pictures with me but I thought that I would keep you up to date on our little lives. We went to Colorado and had a really good time. We just hung out with Casey's family, went on outings and just pretty much chilled with the fam.

When we got back Casey left the following Tuesday for his two weeks of training with the guard. They didn't go anywhere out of state they are just in Boise at Gowan. He will be back a week from tomorrow. It has seemed life forever since he has been gone. I had dinner with him tonight before I went to work and it was really nice to see him. While he has been away my friend Kandee and I reorganized my house, finished painting everything except two doors, and decorated it. It is almost finished which makes me really happy, I really like what I have been able to do with the space. I will do some before and after pictures here really soon, I promise.

Well Casey and I have decided that we are going to visit some of my family in Washington. My mom has a brother and his family that live in Moses Lake, WA and we have decided to take a weekend trip to visit them and while we are down there, my little sister lives 1 1/2 hours away so we will get to see her also. Then in July we are going to Phoenix for a week so Casey can see all of his friends before he leaves. They should both be really fun trips and I am excited to go.

In two weeks we are having a yard sale at our house I have a bunch of stuff that I need to get rid of, and so do my parents so we are having a combined yard sale at my house because my parents live so far out. So that is what my little brother and I are doing tomorrow, we are sorting and pricing stuff since I will be gone, or working for most of the next two weeks.

The family is doing good, Shandi has decided to go back to school in the fall and become a nurse, Bo is going to be a sophmore this year in school and he has lots of summer leagues, and camps for sports that will keep him busy, he is staying at Casey's and my house some nights so that he doesn't have to drive back and forth. Wendi is living in Wilbur and is enjoying Washington. And my parents are working, we all just put in for our hunting tags and everything so we will see how that goes. Tage is a little pill, he is so funny and he knows that he is funny, and he is so smart. He can count to 20 by himself, say his ABC's, count to 5 in spanish by himself, and his favorite work is Ridiculous. It is so funny when he says it. I love to see him, I try and call him atleast everyday to say hi. When I call he says "hi J where is casey" no matter what he is always wanting to talk to casey, if i stop by he looks out the window trying to see if Casey is coming. It is super cute.

I haven't been crafting all that much lately, I crocheted a bag that I felted and it turned out super cute, I will post a picture later. I am also working on another table topper for one of my sisters friends who is getting married it is Shandi's present to her. Other than that I can't think of anything else that is going on. We are staying busy with work, and play, and working on our house. Just enjoying the married life. Hope all is well with you all. We love you!

Going to Colorado...

Casey and I are going to Colorado on Thursday for 6 days. We're going to see his family, this will be the last time that he see's them before he gets deployed. I don't know what were gonna do there but it will be fun just to get out of town. I don't know if you remember a few post back, I went with my grandma to a quilting class and we made those table toppers. Well I told Casey that I would make one for his mom's birthday and I just finished it so that I could take to Colorado with me, to give to her. Here are some pictures of the finished product. I made it with Christmas prints cause Casey said his mom didn't have a lot of holiday decorations so I thought that she would like this. Let me know what you think.

I really liked the colors they are the rich, deep colors. Kind of the ones that they consider are a country Christmas motif. I cut out two, one for my mother in-law and one for me so I will be making mine soon. I have like 4 or 5 to make. The next two will be wedding presents.

I know I am a little late posting these pictures and tell you what we did for Casey's birthday, but we have been really busy. I have been working a lot lately, and Casey has been working, and last week he had the whole we of military class. So we haven't had a lot of time to do anything but, eat, sleep, work, and do some stuff around the house. I have been working on some flowers cause I am selling some and I wanted to make some for Casey's niece Zoe. So here are the ones I have done lately.

So now that you know how behind I have been, here are some pictures that we took, my Uncle and his family were here to visit (which is my dad's only sibling) Everyone was here except their oldest son Jared and my little sister Wendi. So here are some semi-family pictures.

So for Casey's birthday I got a really good deal on the same hotel we stayed at the first night of our honeymoon. I booked a room there, we went out to dinner and went shopping. It was a nice relaxing day. The room had rose petals on the floor leading up to the bed, it was really cool

For Casey's birthday, he got money from my parents which he spent on new military garments, he needed some more before he gets deployed. Then he got two new ties, a new watch and a few new shirts. All and all I think he had a good birthday. Here are some pictures of his presents.

You can't tell very well cause I couldn't take a good picture with out the flash. His watch is a skeleton watch, it winds itself when he moves his arm/wrist, there are no batteries.

I love the color of these ties, Casey kind of collects ties.

The orange one had a eagle on the front of it. I know it is hard to see it but I really like all the shirts he got.

So I have been realizing lately that I need to take more pictures, then i looked on my computer and saw that I had some pictures from our trip to Texas that I know that I haven't posted. I will go home and post them in the next couple days, not that we went in in December and it has been 4 months I am a little behind. But I do have pictures of our before and in between pictures of our house. It is getting finished and I will put up some pictures before we decorate and then after we decorate. Here are the pictures....:)

It looks like a big mess, but it got so much worse! There was paper everywhere and the glue was sticky so I had to put this other stuff on the walls. Let me just say I think I may have bit off more that I can chew. I told my husband that if I ever say lets redo the house, he can kill me. I will redo one room at a time if I ever want to do it again but I will NEVER redo a whole house again. I just want to be moved in and live like normal married couples. As you can tell by my last few postings since they are posted at the butt crack of dawn, I am posting these from the comfort of my work, we will be getting internet at my house on the 5th which will be happy day for me. I like being able to keep up with my friends on their blogs and everything. Well I think that is about it for now. Much love to all.

Lots of things going on....

Well we are still busy with the house, the family room is all painted so it the bedroom. I am halfway done with the livingroom/dinning room. I love the color of our living room, it reminds me of chocolate milk, it makes me smile. Casey and I have been busy working, Casey worked 57 hours this last week. and I am still on a 7 days on 7 days off night shift for one more week. We don't see a lot of each other but we make time for each other at least a little bit in the day. We are going to see his family in Denver at the end of May which we are really excited about, we haven't seen his family since Dec, and we haven't seen his older sister and her family since the wedding. It will be good for casey to see them before he leaves. We are also going to Arizona at the middle of July, it was Casey's birthday present, He is SOOOO excited to go and see all of his friends.

I have been working on a few sewing projects while I have been working on the house. I and almost done with the table topper I am making for my mother in-law, and I am making another one for a friend of mine. My newest craft I have been doing, is making flowers. I make them to put in your hair, on a shirt, on a bag where ever you want them to go. And they turn out so cute. Here are some pictures, I am going to be selling them which makes me really excited. I am going to start a little business selling my burp rags, and a few other things I make. Nothing big but I have been selling my burp rags at a local store and they are selling really well so I figured I would give them some place where if they wanted to buy other things they could order them online. Casey is working on my website and I have a friend that is working on my logo and some business cards, it will probably take me a little while to get up and running but I am excited. Other than that we are just going along, working and trying to make it from one day to the next. Hope all is well with your families. Love to all!

We're moving....

Well I haven't been able to blog very much lately because I have been to busy with work, (I am working the graveyard shift 7 day on and then 7 days off for the next month and a half cause a girl had surgery) and we're moving!! YES you read that right we are finally moving. Not that we haven't appreciated that my parents have let us stay in their house rent free since November, but it will be nice to be on our own again. We are renting my grandma's old house, we have been working on it for the past week or so. We are tearing down most of the wall paper and painting it, putting up new light fixtures and stuff like that. Just so you all know, wall paper is of the devil and I HATE it! We started in the master bedroom thinking we would start small and work our way up cause there was only one wall in there that was wallpapered, and it had three closets on that wall so there wasn't much to take down. It can down so easily I was excited, thinking wow that came down way easier then I thought it would. Well we moved to the hall way and that is where I found out how much I hate wallpaper! I can't get it to come off to save my life, I have scored it, and then sprayed it with this special stuff and it still won't come off. So I spray it with water let it sit for a little while and then it peels off in itty bitty pieces. Therefore that is why we still haven't started to paint even after working on it for over a week. :( But we are totally excited to be moving, and I love to do renovations and I love to decorate so I am getting excited for the decorating part. I have pictures but I am at work right now and can't download them so I will do that sometime this week showing our progress and at the end we'll do before and after pictures. So this weekend my husband and I went to my grandma's house (my dad's mom) just to have some fun and hand out with them. Casey had only been there once to take engagement pictures and we didn't explore very much that time. This time we got there on Thursday and we went four wheeling and saw a bunch of deer, Casey was very proud of himself when he could spot them before I did.

On Friday my grandma had signed up for a quilting class and asked if I would like to come, so I did. It was funny because I was the youngest one there by quite a bit. We all but finished my grandmas project at the class, then we went back home and started one for me, I think it turned out really well. The teal and purple one is the one my grandma and I did at the class, and the blue and yellow one is the one I made when we got back. I am now making a Christmas one for a present, a fall one, and a red black and white one. I want to have several to put on my table for the different seasons and stuff.

Then we went to a St. Patricks day breakfast, it was really good there was a live band called "The oldtime fiddlers" Casey had never seen a guy play a bucket before as a bass, and there was a guy that way playing one there. We also took a few pictures that I wouldn't normally take, but my husband really wanted to. He is such a dork

    With trials and tribulations, come sucess and happiness. I haven't always thought that this was a true statement, I didn't think that with trials and everything that it always ended in happiness, but recently I have come to believe that it is a true statement and I am greatful for that.
     I don't know if this is a girl thing, or a romantic's way of thinking, or just what I was thinking but I thought that when I got married it would be a little hard but that for the most part it would be smooth sailing and that everything would be almost like a fairytale (not the birds singing and when people kiss a little heart floats above their head telling you they are in love) but in the aspect that since I had known Casey for 5 years and couldn't imagine my life without him, that it would be the perfect life once we were married. Little did I know that I was daydreaming about a fictional world, one of love and marriage where you never fight with each other, and where your spouse always knows what you are thinking (because they are a mind reader) and where you like each other all the time. (boy was I totally oblivious to what was real life) Let me tell you, real life hit when I got married and realized my daydream was just that, a day dream.
    I loved my husband dearly the day we got married, it was the perfect day, little did I know that my love would grow for him greatly and I would find out that I would do anything for him in the next coming months. I am sure women out there will be able to understand what I am talking about when I say men are men and I don't think I was the least bit prepared to live with one when I got married. My husband and I found out REAL fast that we come from way different backgrounds, that we had different thoughts and opinions about what marriage should be like and what the roles of a spouse should be. We have fought (we have never yelled at the other person though) I have cried, we have had to leave and cool off and then come back later, and we both have thought what have we gotten ourselves into, but we have come to realize we wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Our marriage is by no means perfect and we are always going to be working on it but I think that we know that we picked the right person to marry and spend the rest of our lives with.
   I have to brag about my husband for just a minute, Casey is the King of smoothing things over. He knows exactly what to do if he makes me mad, or frustrates me, or make me sad. I have heard people complain about their husbands, and I have complained about mine too, but he knows what I like and dislike, he knows what I'm thinking sometimes without even having me have to tell him, and he loves me. Casey has studied me for the past little while I am sure because I have noticed that he does the things I like more and more because it is for his benifit that when he makes me mad he does theses things and I don't stay mad long, he has even found things that I didn't know I like.
Things Casey has found out:
1. I like my hair being played with, it is relaxing to me and puts me to sleep.
2. He can give me a hug and I melt in his arms
3. When I have had a long day he just agrees with whatever I say and lets me vent
4. I don't like to drive so he drives everywhere
5. I like the left side of the bed
6. I am a night owl unless I have to be up at quarter to 2am and then I need my sleep
7. If I get up at quater to 2am I am a grouchy person and he tells me to go take a nap and he will do laundry and I am much happier when I wake up.
8. I don't like chocolate but I love cheesecake
9. I have a short temper, I don't always get mad I usually get frustrated
10. If I am embaressed or he is doing something that I think shouldn't be done I give him and look and he knows exaclty what I am meaning and then he gives me this little pouty face and it makes me giggle inside. :)
I am sure there are more but those are the ones coming to my head right now, I love my husband and wouldn't trade the past 5 months with him for anything. We both are still learning about each other and I don't know if that will ever stop, but I am glad he chose me to be his wife.

I don't know if anyone else has realized (probably not because it doesn't affect any of you) but if I would have gotten to stay out on my mission, I would have came home this past week. One of the Sisters I was in the MTC with emailed me telling me that she was home from her mission. It makes me think of what I have done since I have been back. So here is my list:
1. Had knee surgery and was on crutches for 6 weeks
2. Went back to my job at West Valley for the 4th time (they must really love me)
3. Got to be here when my grandma died
4.Got engaged
5. Went to my first family reunion (which was for Casey's family)
6. Got married
7. Moved to Arizona
8. Moved back to Idaho
9. Got my job back at West Valley for the 5th time.

10. Enjoying my life

Even though I really do wish that I had gotten to stay out on my mission, and even though it was a devastating thing to be sent home and told they don't want you to come back. I wouldn't change it, I probably wouldn't be married to my husband right now if I would have stayed out, and I love my husband so obviously God knows what he is doing even when we don't. I am glad for the challenges and the trials I have been faced with in the past 1 1/2 years I think they have made me a stronger person for going through them.

Well it's been awhile since I last blogged about anything. We are still living at my parents house, there are now 8 of us that live there so it is a little cramped quaters but it seems to be working out okay. Wendi moved in until she moves to Spokane, she has been there for the past 15 days or so interviewing for jobs, she got a call back on one and had to do a skills interview she will find out if she gets the job on Mon the 8th. If she does, then she will be moving down there the next weekend instead of May like she thought.

   Bo is doing well, he finished basketball which is his favorite sport to play, and had about a week off or so and is now doing track. He is a runner, and I think he also does the long jump or something like that. He gets to swim every Friday for track practice because his coach lives across the street from the track and he has an indoor pool.

   Shandi is pretty much the same, just working and looking after Tage. Tage however is growing, and boy is he a character! He is such a smart kid, sometimes he is to smart for his own good. He is eating more things, we went to Costco the other day and he tried all the samples they had there and he asked for more of a lot of them so that is a good thing. When we all get ready to go somewhere Tage asks " we going to walmart? we going to Caries (Carie is one of his daycare people), we going to Costco?" Tage loves to go places, when we are going and leaving him behind he will run to the door and say " I ready, I ready" and when we leave him he cries. It is kinda cute!

   As for my parents, there isn't to much going on with them. My dad turn 50 on the 3rd of March so now he is "an old man." Both my parents are pretty much just working and running Bo around to scouts, and mutual, and school. Bo did get his drivers license, but he still can't drive by himself.

   Casey and I are just chugging along, I have been working full time at the hospital because one of the girls had surgery so I am covering her shift. Then there is another girl that is having sugery after the one I'm covering for so I am covering her shift so I will be full time for atleast til the end of May. Right now I am working a 4am to 230pm shift and in the middle of April I will switch to a 8pm to 6am shift. Casey is still working for the Temp agency, he has been working quite a few days at Coke, running their machines on the graveyard shift because one of their guys hurt his back so he might have atleast part time work until when he leaves in August. Casey and I are planning a trip to my Grandma Mahurin's house this next Thursday 3/11/10, we are going to help her with stuff around the house and I am going to a quilting thing with her, it should be fun to get away for a few days.

   I have a few exciting things going on with me though, I have been selling burp rags at a store, I sell 4 burp cloths for 12.00 I have made about 180.00 so far and I am sewing more because she is all out of my boy ones. Casey is trying to get me to go online and sell them, with some of my apliqued onesies and stuff like that, that I make. The other really exciting thing that happened is we got our tax return back, and it paid off all of our bills, we only owe a little money to my grandpa and we will be debt free! YAY!! Valentines Day

I ended up working Valentine's Day and it was Sunday, so we went out the night before. Casey and I had saved our money so that we could go out to dinner and spend the night in a hotel. We started the day out, with going to my little brother's basketball game. Then we made our way over to Boise, we went to the mall, looked around, had lunch and then went and checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Double Tree Riverside which was across the parking lot from the place we were going to have dinner at. We then went shopping at a used book store, and then went to Deseret Book and we each picked out a book (our valentines gift to ourselves.) We then went to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack, Casey had never been there and it was a fun place to go. The waitress took our picture which is the one at the bottom of this post. We had a really good time, Casey wore a bib, I chose not to but I should have Casey was flinging stuff at me and dropping stuff in my butter, it was hilarious. Then we drove and picked up some Cheesecake at the Cheesecake factory and took it back to our hotel. We then ate our cheesecake, and decided to go to the hot tub. (Casey had worked at the coca cola plant the day before and was sore) We got back up to our hotel and there was 4 inches of gross water that had backed up in our bathtub. (it was grey and brown, Casey tried to stop it from coming up by plugging the drain but it ended up pouring out of the over flow. So we called the front desk and asked to be moved so we could shower and that we wanted a discount on our room and they told us that since I have bought it third party off the internet they couldn't but that they could give us free breakfast. So we got upgraded and finally got to take a shower. We had breakfast in the morning, it was like a continental type breakfast that they charged 10 bucks for, and it was awful. The manager of the hotel happened to be there and Casey told him about all of our problems, and stuff and the guy just said, "we'll make it up to you the next time you come" It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, like we will ever go back there again. Besides the problems with the hotel, we had a really good time. It was nice to not be in a hurry and just do whatever we wanted. Hope all of your Valentine Days were good.

Making it through...

Just to catch you up on what has been going on lately, Casey still doesn't have a job he has turned in applications galore but not a single person has called him for an interview. We did however get lucky, my grandpa Brogan is getting some freight in, and we are going to help go through it and inventory it and price it. We have also been moving some stuff around and making room for the new shipment that is coming Monday. Then he has some furniture that Casey is going to put together for him and I think were gonna paint some too. So that will atleast get Casey out of the house and doing something physical, (I'm sure he gets bored being in the house all the time.)

Well I am still working at the hospital, I work one or two days a week most weeks, in March I'll be covering a shift for a gal while she has surgery so I will get 75 hours a pay period for three pay periods which will be great and then I am also covering some vacations in July, and Feb. I don't know if you all remember but I sell burp rags at a local store, (I did a posting on them a while back) Well I have sold quite a few lately, so I am making more. I am so glad I went the day after Thanksgiving to Joann's and I picked up a bunch of flannel it has saved me so much money!

So now that we know Casey is deploying in September we are talking about what I should do, should I stay here, and rent a house in Nampa and work PRN (as needed) at the hospital. (we get a housing allowance while he is gone, plus his pay. And I plan on working cause I would be bored stiff if I didn't work since I don't have kids or anything) Or we were talking about me going back to school while he is gone, I don't know what I would go for though. Or should we move before he gets deployed somewhere else in Idaho, or should we stay have him get deployed, and then I would move somewhere. I am taking suggestions if you think one of these ideas is good let me know, or if you have an idea of your own I'm open to suggestions.

Other than that we are doing pretty good, just taking things as they come. I am gonna do something kind of different with this post, I have a recipe that I would like to share it is my favorite soup and I thought I would share it so here ya go. Love to you all!

Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

½ cup chopped celery

½ cup shredded carrots

1 can of cream of chicken soup

1 can of cream of celery

16 cubes of chicken bullion

1 small carton of heavy whipping cream

3 chicken breasts

3 cups of wild rice

Garlic pepper

3 Tbs of flour

Put chopped celery and shredded carrots in sauce pan with a little butter and sautee until soft.

Cook chicken either in pan, or in crock pot and cut into little pieces.

I cook my rice in a rice cooker but whatever way you want cook your rice.

In big pot put 8 cups of water, and the 16 cubes of chicken bullion, bring to boil. Add the cream of celery, cream of chicken, heavy whipping cream let boil for a few minutes. Then add the sautéed celery and carrots and then add the cooked chicken and rice in, stir and add garlic pepper to taste. (you can really put any seasoning you want I just really like garlic pepper) then put some water in a bowl add the flour and mix together, then pour into soup this will thicken it.

When this is all done it makes a big pot of soup, I feed 5 of us and most have two bowls the night I make it and it still feeds us the next couple of days for lunch and stuff. It is a good leftover, I just put it in a bowl and warm it up.

I can't remember if I have said in previous postings that Casey is going to be deployed in September. Well when he went to drill this past weekend they gave him tentative dates for his training and deployment, he will go for training on August 16th, and he will leave for a year long deployment on September 11th. If the dates change, I will let everyone know but for right now that is what we know. Love to all!

Our first accident...

Today we had our first big accident with Tage. My mom called me at work and said they were heading my way because Tage was at daycare, he was dancing in the kitchen and he has new shoes, and he caught the toe of his shoe (they have really good traction on the soles that goes up on the toe which is what happened the traction caught) and he fell, hit his head on the cupboard corner and split his head open. My mom called cause I had his spare car seat in my car, and shandi was at work and had the other carseat so she ended up calling the bishop's wife and borrowed one from her to bring Tage in. He did really good for most of it, (he did a good job on splitting his forehead open) they numbed it and then laid him back and put a cover over his face to protect the steril field and he FREAKED out, he didn't like his face to be cover where he couldn't see MaGa and Auntie J. So I took some pictures to show his mom and to post on here, again they aren't the best quality cause they were with my phone camera but you can see that the slit is pretty big. I put borders around the pictures to make them less gross, for you people with weak stomach. :) love to all.

The next one is after he got stitches, they put 6 stitches in and put butterfly stitches on top so it would be a little covered.

So we have enjoyed the first two days of 2010, we have celebrated my birthday and have went to hang out with some friends. Today we slept in which was awesome, and then we went grocery shopping and came home and chopped and stacked some wood with my family. Tonight were going to play games and then have cheesecake for my birthday. Here are some pictures of us chopping wood, they are a little fuzzy I took them with Casey's cell phone so they aren't the best. I will also post later some pictures from our vacation in Texas.

Sorry it has been so long since I have wrote anything on here. We have been pretty busy, I have been working quite a bit at the hospital, this last pay period I worked 69.5 hours, which really helps out. Casey is still looking for a job, a girl at work just told me of two places that are hiring so I will tell him about those today. We missed the deadline for the spring semester at Boise State, it was in October and we didn't know we were going to be in Idaho in October. So he may do the summer semester, he found out about his National guard stuff and he is in the 116th and is posted out of Moutain Home. It will take him about 1 1/2 to drive to drill every month, but in Arizona he was driving 3 hours so it isn't bad. They told him that he will be deployed in September, maybe earlier which is why he might do a summer semester, it depends on when he leaves and if he will need any special training before he leaves.

Thanksgiving was good for us, we had it with my family and we just ate and hung out. I worked that morning early but other than that we didn't do much. For Christmas we went to San Antonio, Texas to his aunts house. His whole dad's side of the family went, we spent six days ther, we went on Christmas day and came back on the 30th. We had a good time, we went to Seaworld, the San Antonio zoo, Six flags, and we went and saw Avatar in 3D. I got to meet a lot of his family that I hadn't met before, and we had a big Christmas dinner. The thing that sucked about our trip is that, someone busted our passanger side window in, and stole my purse the day before we left. They charged stuff to my credit cards, and they got my social security card because I had it with me cause my work needed a copy, they got my military ID my credit cards, my drivers license, and my grandma's wedding ring. (which I don't usually have but I wore it while mine was getting fixed and I put it in my purse so I wouldn't lose it when I got mine back, and I forgot to give it back to my mom the day before we left.) needless to say my family was not happy about that, and I felt so bad. But I did make it through the airport without an ID, they asked me a ton of questions like what cars have I owned, the last 4 numbers of my parents phone number, their names, and stuff like that.

Casey and I have been married for 96 days and are doing fine, it is my birthday today and Casey took me out to dinner last night for my birthday we went to TGI Fridays (it's one of my favorite resturants) Then we came home and played games with the family and watched the ball drop, and then I opened my presents. I got some books, the New Moon sountrack, a beautiful necklace from my husband, and a movie. We went to bed at 1am and I got up at 420 am for work, so I am going home to take a nap when I'm all done here at work. Then I think my friend is taking us out tonight to dinner and a movie for my birthday. So this is turing out to be a pretty good birthday. Casey and I have had a lot of firsts these past couple of months, our first thanksgiving, christmas, my birthday, our first vacation/trip. It has all been fun and we can't wait to have some more firsts. Hope all is well with your families, and Have a Happy New Year!

So I know that you probably have been wondering if I have fallen off the face of the Earth, we'll I didn't we have just been busy. Well we got married on Sept 26th 2009, and it was a great day. I got my hair done early in the morning, and then we went and took pictures in Boise, came back and got married and then had a reception. It was all so beautiful, it was how I had imagined it. Then we spent one night in Boise and then moved to Arizona. We have been living the past two months in Mesa Arizona, I was working at a hospital in Chandler. But we are now back in Idaho, Casey's job fell through so we moved back, and are living with my parents for the moment, we have only been back in Idaho for a week. I am working at the hospital here on-call, and Casey is looking for a job, and he is trying to figure out all of his national guard stuff. That's about all that has been happening, Casey is wanting to go to school in the spring, so we are working on putting in his application to be accepted to BSU. I haven't wrote in awhile so here is a little back tracking of what has gone on in the past little while. I finally got married on Sept. 26th, it all went pretty good. When decorating we had a few little gliches but other than that everything went fine. It turned out just how I wanted it too, and we went and took pictures before the wedding and they turned out really good, I only have one to post today but I will have more later. Casey's family all got there, and it was nice to finally have our families meet each other.

We honeymooned on the way back, we did one night in Boise, one night in South Jordan Utah, two nights in Vegas, it was all okay I was sick most of the time. I felt so sorry for Casey, but we still had a good time.

I am now in Mesa, AZ I am finding my way around, I have applied for about 20 jobs and haven't heard anything back yet. It is warm here it was like in the 70's yesterday. Casey and I are going camping with a bunch of his friends this weekend, I haven't been camping in like years! So this should be fun. Hope all is well with all of you and your families! Love to all!

So the wedding is 3 days away and I still have stuff to do, But I am getting excited! I sewed 5 of the 11 table runners today, and I still have chocolate dipped pretzels to do, and decorating on Friday, I need to get the oil changed on the cars, and the list goes on but I am having fun doing it. My parents just put new carpet in my sister's room. Tage's tube came unhooked one night and spilled all over and they had to replace the carpet, and they are pooring a cement slab by the back door, so when you step out its not one giant step. Shandi got my flowers done and they look gorgeous! I love them, I love the colors of them. I don't know how many people will really show up to the reception because there is a woman's conference broadcast that is that day, we thought we would be smart and have the wedding at 430 and the reception at 6pm before it because we thought it was at 7pm. But no there is a luncheon at 430. And then they changed the homecoming game to that night to, so I don't know how many people will be able to attend but that's okay as long as we get married I don't think it really matters. :) Everything else is going good, Tage had surgery to replace his feeding tube, they put a new one in and said he needs it for another year. Other than that not a ton going on, except the wedding stuff. Love to all!

I went to Colorado at the end of July to go to Casey's family reunion (his mom's side) his parents got sealed in the temple, I met a ton of his family, we went shopping down town in this little resort kind of town were the reunion was at, and I had a really good time.

So I haven't kept this up to date lately, I've been to busy with work and stuff. I am busy with wedding details and trying to figure stuff out cause a lot of stuff has changed. Here is my list of crazy changes...
1.) I couldn't find bridesmaid skirts to save my life, I had a bought the shirts awhile ago but couldn't find skirts. I was looking for a medium color khaki skirt, that went a little below the knee. I think I probably bought 6 or so ( all at different times mind you) and had to take all of them back because they didn't fit one bridesmaid or the other. Well TaDa I found some yesterday, they aren't khaki they are brown but it works, and I ended up with only two bridesmaids instead of three so I took the extra shirts back and they paid for most of the skirt. Yay! So one thing down thanks goodness.

2.) I had a very nice lady in my ward that was going to make me the lovely cake that was in my last post but he husband ended up having a stroke (his is still is the hospital but is doing fine) so she's not doing it anymore which I totally didn't expect her to. But one of her friends said she would help me with my cake so I pick three different cakes out and I'm going to show her them, and were gonna make the easiest most simple of the three. So I am appreciative that she is willing to help.

3.) Casey's family has booked their tickets and hotel rooms, and everything went great with that.

4.) I got my dress hemmed and altered and she even altered a different dress I had for free.

5.) I had my bridal shower on the 22nd it was so much fun! We played some games and there were like 17 people there so it was a good turn out. Then the girls from work threw me a bachelorette party the same night as my bridal shower and that was so much fun too! My sister Shandi threw the bridal shower and Phoebe and Megan from work threw the bachelorette party.

Now I just have a few other things left for the wedding my last day of work is tomorrow for this rotation and then I have 7 days off and will be working on wedding stuff and packing stuff I'm not using. I need to make some table runners, and do the flower arrangements, and get some of the other flower stuff done. I need to go look at some decorations that I am borrowing from a friend to see if it is what I want to use. So not anything big but just stuff that needs to get done. Everything is gonna be fine though, it is officially September, and I will be married in 25 days! It's crazy, but I can't wait. I will hopefully write again soon, and maybe post some pictures of the bridal shower or something. Love to all!

Wedding stuff.....

So I have been really busy with wedding stuff lately!! A lot of stuff has changed, I have had to reprint my invitations twice (that's a total of three times printing, and that is 1200 invitations.) We changed things each time, so it wasn't like I just wanted to do it for fun. I have been buying stuff for decorating the wedding and I just bought the plates and stuff like that. We are getting married September 26, in New Plymouth at the church there and then there will be a reception to follow. I have put in three pictures, the first is what my bouquet is going to look like (hopefully) I have bought all similar stuff but all of my flowers are fake so it might not look exactly the same.

This next picture is a collage that I did of some of our engagement pictures that my mom took I think they turned out really good!

This final picture is of the cake I'm going to have for the wedding. I think it is awesome. Casey and I wanted something different and this is what we came up with.

I will post more pictures later, I have some of my dress that I will post but I have to shrink them first and then post them and I can't do that on this computer. I hope all is well with all of you. I have been busy in and out of the state I went to Disneyland, and then I went to Colorado to Casey's family reunion. So I will write more about those later.

I just been busy with work and wedding stuff latley that I haven't had the time to write on here. I've also been busy traveling a little, like I said in my last post I went to my Uncle Clint and Aunt Connie's house for a week, then I have been to Grace, Idaho for my cousin home coming. He came back from his mission in Uraguay. This next week, my mom, Bo, and I are flying to Disneyland for the weekend. I have a really good friend that lives close to Disneyland so she's picking us up at the airport on friday and then were going to Disneyland on Saturday. I took Wendi two years ago in July and we had a good time, Bo is the only one that hasn't been (when he can remember I think we took him when he was two or something like that) but he raised his own money to pay for his plane ticket and I got a killer deal on park hopper tickets, so it should be a good vacation. And for those of you who don't know, my mom grew up around that part of California, and she hasn't been back in awhile, I going to see if we have some time on friday if we can go visit the Redlands temple, she's never seen it and I know that she would love to.

After that vacation, I work for about 4 days and have a few off and then work like 3 days and then I am off for Colorado. My work schedule has been all screwy cause one of the girls took vacation and no one could/would cover her shifts so I took 5 days for her which makes me work 8 days in a row now, have 3 off work 4 have 2 off work 3 and then I have 8 off. Which is a big difference than my 7 on 7 0ff that I usually have. Well the reason I am going to Colorado, is becase Casey's family is having a family reunion down there, and his dad is recieving his endowments, and they are getting sealed as a family in the Denver temple. So I am going there for that fabulous occasion. I am staying with Casey's older sister Coree which should be a ton of fun, I love her, we get along so well and have so many similar things in common. And she has a daughter named Zoe that is 5 and I absolutely adore her, she is so cute. So it should be a fun vacation. I'm going there on the 22nd and I am flying back on the 27th and Casey is flying back with me. He is coming to Idaho to load all of my stuff in a big Uhaul trailer, and drive it to Arizona for me. :) Isn't he sweet. I was going to go with him so that I could put the stuff in the house we are renting and decorate and everything, but he said he can do it without me, which will save on a plane ticket back for me. It makes me a little nervous to let him unload everything when I'm not there, I'm a little meticulous about my decorating and stuff but he knows that so he said he won't hang anything or do anything like that til I move there in September. :) So since he is doing this in July, that means that when he comes to Idaho for the wedding we can drive back in the same car, and he'll drive. I think this was all part of his plan because he knows that I hate to drive (especially by myself) and if he wouldn't take my stuff in July he would do it in Sept. and I would follow him in my car. And he knows that driving long distances kills my bad hip so if I am the passanger I can move around and twist and turn so that it doesn't hurt me where as if I drive I have to stop every couple hours to get out stretch move around and stuff like that, and when you have a 20 hour trip the stopping every few hours gets annoying and makes the trip sooooo much longer. So I appreciate him being willing to drive to arizona all by himself to save me the pain and driving by myself. Well I think that is about it for now, I will try and keep you posted when new stuff happens, and I will post some Disneyland pictures hopefully.

Well there isn’t a whole lot going on lately besides the wedding stuff, but that will be going on for the next 4 months. I went to the doctor yesterday and had the lumps on my breast removed, and they sent them to my hospital for biopsies. They think that they are just some cyst, (she called them a special name but I don’t remember what it is) so that is good news, I have these type of cysts before and had them removed because they can grow to be quite large and they begin to hurt after awhile. I am a little sore this morning, but not to bad. I think I might have been allergic to something she used because I have red blotches all over my chest and they itch like crazy, so I asked one of the doctors in the ER for a cream to make it stop itching and that seems to be working well.

I have one more day of work for this 7 on and then I am going to see my Aunt and Uncle and cousins, in Moses Lake, Washington. I am way excited, I haven’t been to there house in years so this should be a fun vacation. I am taking a lot of my sewing stuff, I have some table runners I’m making for the wedding that I need to finish and then I have some quilts that I have started but never finished that I am taking and hopefully I will be able to finish them while I am up there. Everyone at my house is doing well, there are a few colds here and there but nothing to serious. I guess I will write more later when I have more “exciting” news. Love to all!

Bo had his first dance last weekend, it was a dance where they were suppose to dress up from any other era. Bo decided that he wanted to try and look a little gangster I guess, I messed around with the picture. Doctors, aren't they fun...

I went to the doctor yesterday, I hadn't had a full blow check up in a little while. I had some things that I want her to check out anyway. So, I get there and have her take a listen to my cough, I have had it for about 12 days and it's driving me CRAZY!! She gave me some medicine for that. I then had her look at my chest and face, I have been braking out really bad, and I thought it might be related to the staph that I had when I was younger. She said it might be and prescribed some type of birth control that should clear it up, which I am totally happy about, Yea! Then I wanted her to look at my breast, I have had a lump there for a little while, I had it checked and the lady told me it was nothing. But since then it has grown a little, and turned a different color. I told her that my grandpa (Loftis) had Neurofibromatosis (NF), and had tumors that were neurofibroid tumors, and that I had a mark on my back that was suppose to be realted to NF. She called it a "Cafe ole" mark, and that it was related, that they usually went hand and hand. So she thinks that it might be a tumor from that. I am getting it taken out and biopsied on the 3rd of June. She is also having me genetically tested for NF, I have to have blood work drawn and sent to a outside lab and it take 4 months to come back. I had to blood drawn today, it took 16 tubes!, for the two tests that she wanted. And it is $2225.00 per test, yes I had to look twice at the price to. But since I work in the lab, and I have medical insurance through the hospital I don't have to pay a penny cause I would just have to pay the co-pay to have it drawn, but I don't have to since I work in the lab. So we will see how this all turns out, it shouldn't be anything to serious. I had some other blood tests run like my cholesterol and stuff and everything else come back normal, so now I just have to wait on the other two to come back.

On a good note, Casey and I are getting married! I will post a picture of my ring later, I don't get it til the 28th or so. We special ordered it and it hasn't come in yet. The date is set for the 26th of Sept. in the Boise, ID temple. I have my dress already I will post pictures of that on here too. Casey is coming on the 26th of May and we are planning as much of the wedding as we can cause he won't be back until right before the wedding. Then after the wedding I am going to be moving to Arizona. So that is my exciting news for right now! I will write again soon!

Trip to Missouri...

So the trip to Missouri went well, Casey was so suprised. If any of you know me, I do not do well with secrets, I was so excited to see him that I really wanted to tell him I was coming. Good thing I only had a week between when I bought the ticket and when I actually saw him!
His family played along with the whole plan, they picked him up at the post, and they weren't sure if they were going to be able to come and pick me up with him because they said the families could only take them 30 mins off post and Springfield is a little over an hour. But they let them, so Coree (Casey's older sister) and Toni (Casey's little sister) came and picked me up at the airport, while the rest of the family and Casey were at the bass pro shop. We went to the store I snuck up behind him, and surprised him. We were both so glad to see each other! That night we took him back to post, and the next day we went to his graduation. The graduation was fantastic, they had a movie, and other stuff that made it really cool. Casey sang the National Anthem with two other soilders, and he got an award for that and he also got another award, (I don't remember what it is called) for doing so well in boot camp and his special training. We then drove him to St. Louis to take him to the airport. So I only got to see him for like 10 hours but it was well worth the trip. After we dropped him off at the airport we went to the mall. Coree, Janet (Casey's mom) and I got pedicures which was fabulous I have only ever gotten one before this. While we were doing that Toni, Todd (Casey's little brother), and Dale (Casey's dad) drove go carts and went ice skating and then we made the trip back to springfield so that they could take me to the airport early in the morning. So it was a good trip, and I will post pictures, when Coree sends me them.

I know that I should keep my blog more recent but I have been supre busy with work, and I just don't think my life is that interesting but I do have some news that I thought that I would share.

I have been working a ton lately, I worked 6 days then had two off, my mom and I went to Idaho falls during those two days to visit my friend and her baby. Then I work another 6 days had 3 days off and now I am in the middle of working 8 days straight, so I have been working a ton! But I love my job, so I don't mind much. We finally got out new schedule, I now work the 3am to 130pm shift for 7 days straight and then I have 7 days off. Which means I can maybe go visit some family on those off weeks, I haven't been to my one uncles house in years, and I keep saying I'm going to go. One of these days I'm just gonna pack up and say Uncle Clint I'm on my way. I do like my new shift, it means I have to be up at 2am to be to work on time which is way earlier than I have ever wanted to get up for work. I am not a morning person, but I have found that I kind of like mornings, I feel more awake during the day when I work mornings than when I work night shift. And I get to sleep in on the weekend that I work til 430am which let me tell you 2 1/2 extra hours is great!

I am going to Missouri next Thursday and coming home on Saturday. My boyfriend is graduating from the National guard so I am meeting his family there and going to his graduation, it is a surprise he doesn't know I am coming it is my birthday present to him. I will have to take pictures and post them later, I haven't used my camera much, but he sent me a picture of him and his niece before he went to boot camp so I will post that below. His name is Casey Unruh, we have dated off and on, and have known each other for 5 years. He lives in Arizona, but we've talked about him moving to Idaho this summer. So we will see.

Tage is growing like a weed. He is talking way more, which is hilarious. You can ask him "what does a chicken say?" and he'll make the noise and he knows about 12 animals if you ask him like that. And then he has two new words that he says and I love them. He learned to say Zorro, (zorro is his dad's cat) and he learned to say spider (which comes out shider) I giggle everytime he says it.

Easter was good, I had to work and Tage was at his dad's for most of the day, but he came home and hunted for easter eggs in the house. We just use the plastic ones with candy in them. He would scoot around pick up and egg open it, take the candy and chuck it across the room and then play with the empty egg. He did that with every egg there was candy everywhere.

Bo went hunting for turkey and go a big one, the beard was 9 7/8 long, which is bigger than my grandpa's was so he had to rub that in just a little.

The weather has been kind of nice here lately, it is a little chilly in the mornings, but by afternoon it has warmed up a little I think todays high is suppose to be like 63 or something. But it's not snowing and I don't need a coat just a jacket so I am happy.

I am still selling stuff for my grandpa on craigslist, it has slowed down but that's okay. We are having his 70th Birthday party tonight as soon as I get off work I am headed there. I can't think of anything else really to say. Oh I painted my bathroom, it was a mint green color (my grandma use to have that bathroom) and I changed it to a tanish brown color. Which matches really well with the counter top, it is a marbled tan/brown.

So that is how interesting my life is as of right now, it's busy but fun.

I think that I said this before but I am not sure. Two of my friends married each other on the 7th of March, and I was one of the photographers. They asked me to take the pictures, so I asked one of my friends to go with me and then one of his friends came too. So we all took pictures at the temple, and then I was the only one at the reception that took pictures of us three. So here are some of the pictures from the reception I think they turned out pretty good, I haven't edited them yet or anything, but they are still okay. Hope you all enjoy them. Okay so I know that I haven't done a blog in like forever, but I have been really busy. I still don't have my 7 on 7 off schedule yet, they are changing every ones schedules and they are having a hard time pleasing everyone. I am part time though so I do get insurance now which makes me happy.

I am still working for my grandpa selling furniture, it is a great little side business that doesn't take up to much time. In fact I have to go in tomorrow and take some more pictures because we got some new stuff in.

Bo just turned 14 yesterday on the 21st. We had a little family party and he opened gifts and we had cake and ice cream, I am taking him shopping tomorrow for his present. He wanted to go shopping so I said that is what I would give him for his birthday present. He also went to Wahooz, which is a go cart/laser tag/game room place and he took one of his friends with him. My mom and I took him, it was a lot of fun.

I haven't done much sewing lately, I have so many projects to finish though that I really should do some of them. I do have a bunch of pictures to post of projects I have finished recently, but the pictures wouldn't load and since the pictures are the majority of the post I will try again later.

My family and I are going to my grandpa's cabin this weekend. It is spring break so we are all leaving on Thursday to go up there and go 4-wheeling and steel head fishing, and stuff like that. My grandpa and his girlfriend are going to so it should be a fun time. I will take my camera and post pictures when I get back.

Oh my mom, Shandi, and I went to the elementary school carnival on the 13th of March and had a blast. We sat and played bingo, and won a bunch of stuff. I won several dinner gift certificates, my mom won some aspen trees from a local nursery, we won some bowling passes, cookie dough (which is really good), and a few other things. It was a really fun night.

I have been talking to Casey (a guy I use to date) recently, he just joined the National Guard and this past week was his last week at boot camp, now he has 6 weeks of special training. He is coming to visit me in May. And I think he is going to meet Bo, mom and I down in California when we go to Disneyland. I really excited to get to see him again. We dated about a year and a half ago almost two years, and have talked to each other almost everyday since we broke up. We've gone and visited each other, and texted each other while we were at work when there is a lull. So it was kind said we could do all that for the past 6 weeks, I did get to talk to him 3 times though when he had passes.

As most of you know, I change my hair ALL the time, whether it be the style, color, cut. This is my latest look, I went dark and I have an A line cut where it is longer in the front and shorter in the back I love it, and it is super easy to style which makes it nice.

This is Tage fishing at the school carnival, he won a ball at this game. I think he really enjoyed it, he only played a couple of games because the rest he wasn't big enough for but it was fun.

So as we are walking down the hall at the carnival there are all these little kids, with balloons, and Tage kept pointing and saying balloon, balloon, balloon, so I went and bought him one, which was a fantastic idea because it kept him busy while we played bingo, as you can see he is totally content on just chewing on the string.

So I have been working on a few projects lately and since I have 6 days off I hope to finish a few more. I have taken some pictures of some of them and when I finish the others I will post them too. I have been doing well, this past Saturday two of my friends got married to each other, in the Boise Temple, and I was one of their photographers. They asked me and I recruited a friend that does it professionally to help me out. I will post some of the pictures I took later, their wedding was absolutely gorgeous! Her dress was amazing. I also knew the bride that came out before them and the bride and groom that came out after them. It was a crazy day. Other than that I have just been working a lot.

These are the burp rags I have been working on, I put them in packs of 4 and give them away.

The edges are frayed like a rag quilt, they turn out really cute and are super easy to make, I can make two out of a 1/2 yard of fabric.

This is one block from a new quilt I am working on, It is going to be black,white,and hot pink, obviously. All the corners are going to be pink and the other pieces with alternate between being black with white, or white with black.

Just an Update

So nothing to exciting has been going on. I found out today that I will have a full time job with in the next two weeks. I have just been working on call, but my boss told me today that I will have a 7 on 7 off schedule which I really like that kind of schedule. My old roommate had a baby on the 18th, she had a little girl and they named her Brinley Rose, I guess she has a lot of hair but I haven't seen picutres yet. My family and I went to my Grandma's this weekend to help her with some stuff. She taught my sister how to quilt, well she helped her start her first quilt and I started another one. Yeah I know I should finish the three I have started. Tage lately has been a funny kid, when you try to take his picture he squints his eyes because he knows the camera is going to flash. Here are some pictures of him trying to not get the flash in his eyes.

So I know that when I first got back off my mission I talked about a crayon roll that I made at an enrichment day (super saturday) with my mom and sister and I never posted a picture and now I have one. If anyone is interested in the pattern let me know. I thought that it was a pretty cool thing to have in a purse or church bag for little kiddos.

You can put whatever material you want this one has dinosaurs and mine has crayons on it and it takes such little fabric.

Back at work

So I went back to work on Thursday only expecting to work Thurs, and Fri, but I worked today also and I work tomorrow which is fantastic because I could use the money. I am not only drawing blood, but I am also a sitter. I sit with people that are at risk to fall, or people that are not mentally stable. I sat today and yesterday with a girl that is "a cutter" so I just had to make sure that she didn't get anything to hurt herself with. But I am so glad to be back to work a feel productive again. I am however getting in some good reading, when I sit that is about all I can do. I read a book and a half between yesterday and today.

I thought that I would tell you about a CD that I discovered on my mission that is a fabulous one for either Sunday listening, or everyday listening. Some people only listen to church music on Sunday so that is why I say it is good because us as missionaries could listen to it. Its called
Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet: it is the testimony and spiritual witness of some of Nashville’s finest and most successful musicians about the life and mission of Joseph Smith Jr. It is an album dedicated to those who experienced the humble beginning and subsequent rising of a restored religion.

Maeve...

For those of you who didn't know that I was a nanny last year in New York, I was. The little girls name is Maeve and I just got some new pictures of her from her mom. She is over a year old, I can't believe it she was only 3 months old when I started as her nanny. Her are the pictures, aren't they so cute!

I have been getting worse and worse at updating my blog. I haven't had a whole lot to talk about since I haven't done a whole lot, with me being on crutches and all. I had surgery on my knee 5 weeks ago, and I have one more week on crutches and then I can go back to walking, driving and working. I am more than ready, I love my job and I miss not being able to go to work. I start back to work on the 5th, and hopefully will have a full time shift here pretty soon.

While I have been cooped up in the house, I bought a car so I could have something to drive back and forth to work. It is a 2003 Chevy Malibu, it is a tanish champagne color. It drives nice I guess at least that is what my dad tells me I still haven't got to drive it yet.

I was also tired of staying cooped up in the house, so this past week I went to my Grandma's house (my dad's mom) and stayed a week with her. I love going to their house. They live kind of in the middle of now where, which is nice. My grandma and I just stay in the house most of the time, we cook, and we sew and that is about it. I made two projects, which I borrowed Shandi's camera to take some pictures of. (I still can't find my charger for my camera) I made a wall hanging, that is teal and brown. The words had scriptures that went down from them, I tried to get closer so you could see, this is the best that I could get.Then I also made a table topper that is for the 4th of July.

I had so much fun we went shopping and just had a good time, I was sad to have to go home.

Bo has started basketball, he made the A team. They have played three games and have lost all of them, but he is doing well. They have another game this Monday. He and I made a deal also, for this summer. He wants to go to Disneyland, and I told him that if he earned the money that I would take him. (Hopefully we will stay at my friends house, I haven't asked her yet. Sorry Bonnie, I am going to call I promise)

Shandi and Tage are doing well, Tage is finally growing. Shandi is going to Las Vegas for a week the 15th of Feb. she has a conference there to do some continuing education there for her vet tech license.

Wendi started school two weeks ago. She is going to be a dental assistant. Infact I have to go and have her work on my teeth because they have to find their own volunteers, or they have to repeat the course. So I will be doing that sometime soon.

Other than that there isn't a whole lot going on. I will try to keep up with my postings. When I get back to work I can post there, they just won't have pictures. I hope all is well with you families and I will talk to you all soon.

Christmas/New Years

Well hello to all, sorry it has taken me so long to write another blog. I have been busy, my grandma passed away so we had her funeral, and then I had surgery, then Christmas, New Years, it's been a crazy time. I hope all is well with all of your families. My family and I had a good Christmas. I got some jewelery, perfume, dvd's, and money. We got up at 730 am and opened presents, and then we had breakfast. I have just been lounging around the past few weeks, because of the surgery on my knee, 4 more weeks on crutches and I am back to my normal life where I can drive and do everything for myself.

Tage is doing a little better since his last surgery. He is in this new phase where he just sits on the floor and screams at the top of his lungs for no reason. My mom is doing much better her infection from her surgery is gone now and she is feeling better.

My birthday went well, for New Years Eve we played games as a family until the ball dropped and then we opened my presents. I got everything that I wanted, I got to books that I had asked for by one of my favorite authors. I got a leather purse from my mom and dad it is fantastic I would post a picture but the camera charger is still lost. And I got a cuboodle (a box to put all my makeup in) Then I sewed some burp cloths the rest of the day. My family went to go clean my grandmas house, and since I can't help they left me home alone so I watched some t.v. and sewed. So all in all I had a good day, one of my friends is taking me out to dinner tomorrow night for my birthday so that should be fun. Other than that nothing really exciting is going on. We are rearranging rooms in our house, but that will take a little while. Hope all is well and everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year. Love to you all!!

The average life...

So I just thought I would catch you all up on current stuff now and come back to my mission stuff. I am going to the doctor tomorrow to find out when I am getting surgery. My mom went to the doctor today because she had surgery a little while ago, and now it is really infected so she has to go back to the doctor tomorrow. Tage went to the doctor today too, and his tube where they put it in is a little infected, so he has some medicine to help with that. Other than that there really isn't anything going on. I am making some baby quilts, and I am making a quilt that I started awhile back and I would take pictures, but my battery on my camera died and it is a special rechargeable battery and I can't find the charger. But I do have some new pictures of me and some of my siblings so I will post them instead.

I didn't finish this blog yesterday so I am finishing it today, I found out that I am having surgery on the 17th, and it is only on one of my knees. My left knee has a little tear but it is only small and not all the way through so the doctor says that it will fix itself. I am not going to be put out though, they are just going to do a spinal block so I can watch the surgery. Also today I went back to my old job and turned in the paper that Dr. Foote signed that says that I can work. I start work on Tuesday of next week. I am really excited, I have been trying to find things to do and you all know how I like to stay busy.

There are a lot of things going on this month though. There is the Christmas Devotional on Sunday and then my singles ward are going Christmas caroling afterwards, then on the 20th there is a formal dance that I am helping out with, I need a date and I have a guy that I would like to ask but we are kind of new friends, so I think I will try and get to know him a little better before I ask him. (yeah I know girls shouldn't ask but he isn't in my ward so he would never ask me, so I figure that it is okay.) Then there is Christmas dinner at the singles ward, oh and next Wednesday there is the Christmas Dinner at the home ward, we are going to take Tage and hopefully get a picture of him and Santa Claus.

Speaking of Tage he is doing well, he is in a few therapies like speech, and there is a lady coming to help him learn how to crawl since he is so behind the other kids his age. The rest of us are doing well. Wendi is working at Old Navy, and she is loving it, and she will start school in January. We decorated for Christmas (let me restate that, Shandi decorated for Christmas) the other day except for the Christmas tree which we will do very soon. I will post picutres of all of this hopefully soon if I can find my dang charger. Well I guess that is all for now, hope all is well with your families! Love to all.

So I thought that I would post a picture of my compainion and I when I was out in Kutztown.

This is Sister Olson and I she is from Chicago and was a fantastic trainer.

This is my Grandma (Sister McKinnon) in the mission your trainer is your mom, and the trainer that she had is your grandma, so this was my trainers trainer. She is fantastic, and she is a spanish speaking missionary.

P-Day at the MTC...

So the MTC is full of new experiences, the food was okay the teachers or fantastic, and the firesides and conferences are so spiritual. My disticts P-Day was on Monday we started out with breakfast and then we went to the temple, and then we came home had lunched then changed into our P-Day clothes and made our way down to the laundry room. Here are some pictures to depict some of our p-days at the MTC.

This is Elder Holgreen, when we would go into the laundry room, there were computers that we could use to e-mail our parents. Now the shirt Elder Holgreen is wearing the other elders and him went to the MTC store to buy Philadelphia shirts, well they found out that it takes 10 days for them to come in and we only had 4 days so they just bought radom shirts, and then people would assume that they were actually going there. It was actually hilarious, they all had different countries.

This is Elder McNaughton I asked him to smile and give me a good face and he gave me his scowl he has. He is actually a very funny Elder! He is just writting to his family.

This was our last temple trip before our departure to the great city of Philadelpia. So this sign is funny! When we first got here there were a few people that thought that it meant "the field is white already to harvest" field was open because it said open. But actually this sign is to tell you that the missionary field up on the hill where they play soccer and stuff is open. When it rains and snows that is when they close the field.

My District at the MTC...

There were 10 people in my district at the MTC. We all were going to go to Philadelpia, there were 4 sisters and 6 Elders. About three doors down the hall there were 6 other elders that were going to Philadelphia with us. In the MTC we spent sometimes 10 hours a day in classrooms, and we were with our district almost 24/7.

This is a picture of my companion Sister Bonner and I. We had an interesting companionship, we really didn't get along all that well, it's a long story.

This is Sister Adkins on the left and Sister Sandall on the right. They were companions and the other two sisters going to Philly with Sister Bonner and I and we all lived in the same room. Sister Sandall had a really bad studdering problem she couldn't always say what she wanted to say, especially if she got nervous so it was really hard for Sister Adkins because she ended up teaching a lot of the lessons because of this.

This is just a picture of the name of the building that we practically lived in. I know a stupid picture but I wanted to remember.

These were the 6 Elders down the hall that were going with us to Philly. The second from the Left Elder Ulrich and I were good friends I have a picture that I will share in one of my next blogs of him and I, we ran into each other in Philly on a P-day.

This is a picture of my teachers closer up Brother Geddes on the Left and Brother Bastian on the right, they were fantastic teachers! I learned so much from them, I can't even explain how important they are to me.

Catch Up...

So since I have been on my mission my mom was suppose to be posting but she didn't remember how to do it or something. So now that I have some pictures I'm going to play catch up and write a few blogs about the MTC and my mission illustrated with pictures. So this first one is where my parents dropped me off at the MTC (Missionary Training Center)

My parents and I went to Utah first on Tuesday so that we could stay at my Aunt Renee's so we didn't have to drive the whole thing in one day. We then drove the next day the rest of the way which was like and hour and twenty minutes. I entered the MTC on September 24th, and we had a nice picture session and then there was a like presentation given by the Mission President and then we said goodbye and I was off on my own.

When your parents leave, the families leave through seperate doors than the Missionaries. Then we are kind of hearded to these different places, you go and give your shot record to these ladies and they tell you what you still need to get and then they offer to give you them. Then you go to your room unload everything and then meet your roommates. I actually had two girls that had been there for 2 weeks and then there were 4 of us that were new and all 4 of us were going to Philadelphia. Six girls share a room for 3 weeks, there are 6 closets, and 3 sets of bunk beds and 3 desks. Here are the pictures, my family was curious what it looked like.

So these are the sister's that were already in my room, they had been there for two weeks already. The one on the Left is Sister Hatch and she was going to Louisianna, and the one on the Right is Sister Warwood, and she was going to Alaska. They were fantastic girls I loved being their roommates.

This is a picture of what our bunk beds looked like, thery were very sturdy, but squicked a whole lot, and obviously we hadn't made our bed yet it was still morning I promise we weren't breaking the rules.

This is what the desk looked like two girls shared a desk so it was a little cluttered as you can see but we knew where everything was so it was okay.

This is a picture to show you how big our room was, the girl sitting on the bed is Sister Sandall and the one standing was my companion Sister Bonner. There is also the final bed behind sister Bonner so as you can see our room was not so big especially when there were 6 girls trying to get ready in the morning. Back at home...

Okay so most of you know that I am back at home. They sent me home from my mission because I need to have knee surgery. I was playing volleyball in the MTC and I had an Elder run into me and they told me that I tore my Meniscus on my right knee and they think that I also tore my ACL. They also think that I might have torn my meniscus on my left knee to so I will have between 1-3 surgeries and they say if I tore my ACL that they won't let me go back to my mission.

While I was on my mission I had a wonderful time, I was in the MTC for three weeks and out in the field in Philly for 4 weeks. My trainer was fantastic, her name was Sister Olson, she is orginally from Chicago. She had been out for 8 months. We had some fun times together. I have pictures that I will download later, and I have stories to go with them. If you have any questions just let me know I will try and keep everyone posted and updated as much as I can. So this is my last post before my mission. I am entering the MTC on Wednesday the 24th. However my mom is going to keep my postings going, so the posts for the next year and a half are not me they are my mom I am just telling her what to say. So I haven't been doing a whole lot other than working and getting ready. Infact I have not even packed anything yet, it is all set aside but nothing is packed. Maybe a mission will help me not to procrastinate, ha ha we will see. So other than that there is nothing really going on. But I did promise pictures so here are a whole bunch, and I will explain as I go.

So our family went to the open house of the Twin Falls temple, and I had a new camera and so I was taking pictures of Tage in the car because he kept quite that way.

So I haven't blogged in a while so I thought that I would do one today while I'm at work. Well there really isn't much going on different, I am still working my butt off at my two jobs, I have been getting stuff ready for my mission so there is stuff all over my room and my parents house because I haven't packed any of it yet which I should since there are only 21 days until I enter the MTC. It's so crazy to think that in 21 days I'm going to be a sister missionary, who would have EVER thought. All of my friends keep saying "what were they thinking when they sent you to the amish YOU of all people get sent to live with the amish." I think that it is going to be a fantastic experience even though I am not the "typical" sister missionary. Well I will write more later and maybe send some pictures.
